Monroe senior Tucker Markham has been selected as the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week for the week of November 14-20 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.

There were 6,803 total votes this week. Markham topped all vote getters with 2,664 votes. Columbus' Corbin Hynes came in second with 2,576 votes.

Monroe hadn't been to a WIAA State Championship in football since 1996 and hadn't won since '94. Markham made sure that the long absence between appearances ended with a gold ball. Markham came into the state game as the fourth top runner with regards to yards for the Cheesemakers on the season. He proved to be the most explosive in the 35-14 victory over West Salem. Markham finished with 20 carries for 170 yards and four touchdowns. The senior added eight tackles on defense.
