Favorite Sport (and why): "My favorite sport is volleyball because it is something I have been doing since I was little. I could go to practice after having the worst day and leave the gym with the best attitude. Simply peppering with a partner lets me forget about everything going on in life. I also have met my best friends through volleyball and my best memories are from volleyball games and tournaments."
Best Part of High School Sports (and why): "The best part of high school sports is competing against other schools with your best friends. I love being able to represent Edgar in every sport."
Best Advice from a High School Coach: "My softball coach, Kevin Brown always reminds us, 'Respect everyone but fear no one'.”
Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "The most memorable moment I have had so far in high school sports has either been winning the sectional final softball game to advance to state last year or winning the sectional semifinal volleyball game in our packed home gym. I was never too fond of the sport of softball but playing with my friends makes it worth it 100%. There’s never a dull moment when all three of your best friends play in the infield with you."
Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "The best part of playing three sports is being able to play with your best friends and making stronger connections with other friends through different sports."
Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "The toughest part of playing three sports is recovering after the previous season. Not finishing the past season how you wanted to and then going into the next season in less than a week made it hard to focus and even try at practices."
Favorite Opponent (and why): "My favorite opponent would probably be Stratford. Since middle school, it was always a close game no matter the sport, and nothing has changed from then till now. The energy in the gym is always different from any other game and it is always really fun to play against our next-door neighbors."
Favorite Professional Team: "My favorite professional teams are the Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers."
Favorite Professional Athlete: "My favorite professional athletes are Pat Connaughton and Christian Yelich."
Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers Women's Volleyball
Cumulative GPA: 3.99
Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against (and why): "The toughest individual I have competed against would be Dorci Walker. My volleyball team played Columbus Catholic in the sectional semifinal my junior year and our team could not defend her. She was taller than our whole team and hit right over the block every time she swung. Dorci and I played together my first year of club back in 6th grade and she was a good role model to me. She was a very talented player."
Most Admired High School Teammate (and why): "A high school teammate that I most admired was Makenna Guden. Makenna has shown me what it takes to be an all-state athlete. She showed me the effort and dedication you have to put into your sport outside of practice if you want to be the best of the best. She was also one of my best friends and always wanted the best for me."
College Plans: "I plan to continue my education at UW River Falls and major in animal science. I am not sure what I want to be in the future but I plan on being a large animal veterinarian."
Activities Outside of Sports: "I am involved in National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, FFA, and two other organizations/groups through my school. Other things that I do outside of sports include hanging out with my friends and working on our small dairy farm."
I Find it Relaxing to: "I find it relaxing to sit outside on the porch as the sun is setting in the summer while watching our cows in the pasture."
Favorite TV Show: Friends
Favorite Movie: The Notebook
Favorite Musical Artist: "My favorite musical artist is between Lee Brice, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, or Kane Brown."
