De Pere continues to leave little doubt as the best team in Division 1, though the Redbirds certainly have some strong challengers right behind them in unbeaten Arrowhead and Middleton. Defending champion Neenah drops down a few more spots to ninth with a 6-3 record, while Sussex Hamilton drops out completely after losing back-to-back games. West Allis Hale enters at number ten, becoming the fifth different Greater Metro Conference team to be ranked in D1 at some point this year.
There was a decision to be made for Division 2 coaches, with Wisconsin Lutheran losing over the break to Oshkosh North. It turned out to be a pretty easy decision for most voters, who kept Wisco at number one. Two-time defending champion Pewaukee moved up to number two, meaning we'll get a number one versus number two matchup tonight when Wisconsin Lutheran hosts Pewaukee in the first of (at least) two highly-anticipated matchups between the Woodland-West rivals.
West Salem is unanimous as the top team in Division 3, with Brillion also unanimous as the second team in the voting. Prescott, Xavier, and Racine St. Catherine's round out the top five of unbeaten squads. Carmen Northwest lost a couple games to larger competition and drops from third to seventh this week. Lakeside Lutheran enters the rankings at number ten, while Northwestern drops out after suffering its first loss of the year.
There is a new top-ranked team in Division 4, as Saint Mary Catholic defeated Saint Mary's Springs over break, as the teams swap places in the rankings. Saint Mary Catholic goes from third to first, while Springs falls from first to third. In between, unbeaten Howards Grove remains second. Cuba City and Marathon dropped a few spots this week with recent losses, while undefeated Mineral Point made a big jump from eighth to fourth.
The top five remains unchanged, with McDonell Central garnering most of the top votes, but the bottom half of the rankings saw plenty of movement. Dropping out after losses were Hurley and Columbus Catholic (formerly number five after a stint at number one earlier this year). New to the poll are Royall and Clear Lake. Port Edwards makes a jump from tenth to sixth, while Hillsboro narrowly holds in the rankings at ten.
