The Bug Tussel Triple Threat Athlete of the Week is an honor given on WisSports.net to the top senior boys and girls three-sport athletes in the state. Players are recognized each week on WSN, with the a boys and girls winner of the Pat Richter Award at the end of the season to the best three-sport athlete of the year.

Volleyball Honors: Four-year varsity player for coach Jeffery Kohlbeck and the Rockets... sophomore year, earned first-team all-Trailways West, Trailways West Player of the Year, WVCA All-State honorable mention, team MVP, and helped the Rockets claim a conference title... junior year, first-team all-conference, WVCA All-State honorable mention, and helped Rockets to conference title and regional championship... senior year, first-team all-conference, Trailways West Player of the Year, WVCA All-State honorable mention, team MVP, first-team all-area, and led them to a conference title and a Division 3 state tournament appearance... compiled 314 kills, 2453 assists, 160 service aces, 627 digs. and 132 blocks in her career... 

Basketball Honors: Four-year varsity starter for coach Chad Kaufman and the Rockets... freshman year, second-team all-Trailways West and honorable mention all-area... sophomore year, first-team all-conference, second-team all-area, and WBCA All-State... junior year, first-team all-conference, Trailways West Player of the Year, first-team all-area, WBCA All-State, AP fourth-team all-state, and led Rockets to conference title and Division 5 state title with a perfect 31-0 record... senior year, the 6-0 forward averaged 21.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.5 steals per game for the Rockets which finished the year with a 20-6 record... committed to NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee... school's all-time scoring leader with 1,926 points... also finished with 1,048 rebounds, 226 assists, and 237 steals in career... 

Softball: Named first-team all-conference as a freshman and honorable mention all-conference as a junior... coached by Jeffery Kohlbeck... 

Track & Field Honors: As a junior, second-team all-conference and state qualifier in the shot put... helped Rockets claim a conference title as a junior... PR (personal record) in shot put: 36 feet, 4.5 inches... PR in discus: 90 feet, 3 inches... coached by Adam Iverson...

Favorite Sport (and why): "Basketball is my favorite sport because it is very competitive and I can showcase my athletic abilities while playing this sport best." 

Best Part of High School Sports (and why): "The best part of high school sports is being able to play the sports I love with my friends and family." 

Best Advice from a High School Coach: "You practice how you play. Always work hard, do your best, and play for one another." 

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "By far, the most memorable moment in high school sports was winning a state championship in basketball my junior year. Not only that, but the sectional final game that got us there. This was the best atmosphere and most energetic game I have ever played in."

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "The best part of playing three sports is carrying over the skills I learn from one to the others. Things like leadership, teamwork, and determination have helped shape me into the athlete I am today." 

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "The toughest part of being a multi-sport athlete is balancing time between the sports and not having much/any offseason." 

Favorite Opponent (and why): "My favorite opponent is Laconia because it is always a very competitive game against them and it pushes our team to the limits."

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against (and why): "Kayl Petersen; she is a very good player and is hard to guard because she can handle the ball, shoot outside, and is just a well-rounded player."

Most Admired High School Teammate (and why): "My most admired high school teammate is my sister, Presley Buwalda, because she always pushed me to be my best. She also is supportive of my accomplishments and is always happy for me." 

College Plans: "Continuing my education and athletic career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee."

Activities Outside of Sports: "Shopping, hanging out with friends and family, working out."
