Milwaukee Academy of Science is headed to the Division 3 state championship game. 

The Novas knocked off defending state champion Waupun, 64-57, in a state semifinal to make the WIAA state title game for the second time in program history. 

Milwaukee Academy of Science was led by senior Lalani Ellis, a 5-9 guard, who finished with 22 points, 13 points, and seven assists.  

Fellow senior Beautiful Waheed, a 5-10 guard, added 14 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and three steals for coach Giovanni Riley and the Novas. 

MAS outscored Waupun 34-30 in the paint and dominated bench scoring, scoring 19 compared to Waupun getting no points from its bench. 

The Novas set the Division 3 state tournament record with 60 in the victory, the previous record of 55 was held by Amherst (1999). 

Waupun was led by junior Mady VandeStreek, a 5-5 guard, who netted a career-best 18 points.

Marquette recruit Kayl Petersen, a 6-0 junior wing/forward, added 14 points, 19 rebounds, five blocks, and three assists for coach Tim Aalsma and the Warriors. 

Milwaukee Academy of Science will face Kewaskum in the Division 3 state championship game on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. 

Kewaskum will meet the Milwaukee Academy of Science in the Division 3 state championship game. 

The Indians defeated West Salem, 46-34, in a state semifinal. 

Kewaskum outscored West Salem 29-20 in the second half after leading by three points at the break. 

Seniors Morgan Adams (6-0) and Madi Dogs (6-0) led the way for the Indians, finished with 19 and 16 points, respectively. 

Dogs, committed to NCAA Division I NJIT, also tallied 11 rebounds, four blocks, three steals, and two assists, while Adams also pulled down 10 rebounds for coach Mark Maley and the Indians. 

West Salem was led by sophomore Megan Johnson, a 5-11 wing/forward, who finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, and five steals for coach Matt Quick and the Panthers.
