Emily Jaenke of Fox Valley Lutheran wins the WIAA 3-Point Challenge for the second consecutive year

Emily Jaenke of Fox Valley Lutheran won the 2023 WIAA Girls 3-Point Challenge for the second consecutive season in thrilling fashion at the Resch Center in Green Bay Saturday morning.

10 participants were selected for the event based on stats information entered by coaches into the WisSports.net database. The top two three-point shooters (minimum 75 attempts) from each division were chosen to participate.

Jaenke scored tied for the first round lead with 20 then had 19 in the semifinal round to advance to the finals. Tied at 18 for the lead with just the money ball left, the senior sharpshooter made the two-point money ball as the buzzer sounded to finish with the winning 20 total.

Also participating in the finals was Sophia Langile of Fond du Lac and Ameerah Grant of Brown Deer.

In addition to the three mentioned, Allie Ziebell of Neenah was a semi-finalist as well.
