Kewaskum senior Madilyn Dogs has been selected as the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week for the week of March 6-12 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.

There were 5,029 total votes this week. Dogs topped all vote getters with 1,674 votes. McDonell Central Catholic's Aubrey Dorn came in second with 1,279 votes.

Dogs may not have lead Kewaskum in scoring in either of the two state games this past week, but she proved to be a menace defensively while being a threat on offense. First in the 46-34 semifinal win over West Salem, the NJIT commit had 14 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and three steals. Kewaskum met Milwaukee Academy of Science in the Division 3 state championship and eked out a 55-51 victory. Dogs came up one rebound short of a double-double, finishing with 13 points, nine rebounds, four blocks and four assists. Her eight blocks over the two games tied the Division 3 state tournament record. Kewaskum took home its first state title in girls basketball in school history.

Along with winning a gold ball, Dogs was named to the First Team All-East Central team for the third straight season.
