Kon Knueppel of Wisconsin Lutheran wins the 2023 WIAA 3-Point Challenge

Junior Kon Knueppel of Wisconsin Lutheran won the 2023 WIAA 3-Point Challenge at the Kohl Center Saturday morning.

10 participants were selected for the event based on stats information entered by coaches into the WisSports.net database. The top two three-point shooters (minimum 75 attempts) from each division were chosen to participate.

Knueppel finished with 15 in the first round, which tied him for fourth with three other shooters, sneaking him into the semifinals. He went on to finish with 22 in the semis and 20 in the finals to capture the title.

Pulaski's Derek Shaw was the leader in both the opening and semifinal round and was the other finalist finishing with 16 in the final round. The four other semifinalists were Blake Jakobi of Columbus Catholic, Mason Debbink of Sheboygan North, Drew Kortz of Freedom and Ben Vasold of Watertown Luther Prep. The four other contestants were Anthony Rise of Brookfield Central, Logan Alberson of Ladysmith, Vaughn Johnson of Cumberland and William Kelley of Florence.
