Pewaukee's Momcilovic picked as state's top senior shooter

Milan Momcilovic of Pewaukee has been selected as the top senior Shooter as part of the WSN Senior Basketball Awards

A three-time WIAA Division 2 state champion with the stellar basketball program at Pewaukee, Momcilovic ended his high school career with 1,919 points. 

As a senior, the Iowa State recruit averaged 23.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists while helping the Pirates to a 27-3 record. He scored 32 points against Nicolet in the state semifinals and then poured in 29 points in the Division 2-title game win over Whitnall. 

Momcilovic shot 58 percent from the field, 88 percent from the free-throw line and 41 percent from three-point range during his final year of prep basketball.  

Finalists for the award were Momcilovic, Deven Kulp of McFarland, Eddie Mittermeyer of McDonell Catholic, Jordan Malmlov of Pewaukee and Cole Uhlenbrauck of Saint Mary Catholic. 

Past winners of the award include Miles Barnstable of Howards Grove (2022), Joe Reuter of Chippewa Falls (2021), Aidan Clarey of Brookfield Academy (2020), Henry Noone of Lourdes Academy (2019), Drew Blair of Stevens Point (2018), Ryan Krueger of Hortonville (2017), Trev Anderson of Stevens Point (2016), Brevin Pritzl of De Pere (2015), Brady Ellingson of Sussex Hamilton (2014), Matt Thomas of Onalaska (2013), and Tyson Kalien of Chippewa Falls (2012).
