The Bug Tussel Triple Threat Athlete of the Week is an honor given on WisSports.net to the top senior boys and girls three-sport athletes in the state. Players are recognized each week on WSN, with the a boys and girls winner of the Pat Richter Award at the end of the season to the best three-sport athlete of the year.

Girls Volleyball Honors: Four-year varsity starter as a middle hitter… coached by Cari Krepline... honorable mention All-Eastern Wisconsin as a sophomore… second-team all-conference as a junior… first-team All-EWC as a senior… holds school records in the following categories: most blocks in a season (116), all-time block leader (332), and highest hitting percentage in a season (.274)... 

Girls Basketball Honors: Four-year Varsity starter… Four-time team MVP… Four-time unanimous first-team All-EWC... coached by Jeff Capelle... Two-time EWC Player of the Year…  two-time Division 3 first-team WBCA All-State... will participate in the 2023 Division 3 All-Star game…helped the Lions three-peat as Eastern Wisconsin Conference Champions… the 6-0 wing/forward averaged 16.1 points, 7.4 rebounds,1.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game as a senior, leading the Lions to a 20-5 record... ended career with 1686 points and 720 rebounds... committed to NCAA Division II Winona State University and head coach Ana Wurtz... 

Track & Field Honors: Enters senior year as a two-year varsity performer… coached by Jeff Schlender... freshman year was canceled due to COVID-19… Two-time WIAA State qualifier in Triple Jump... placed fifth in 2021 and third in 2022… state qualifier in the 4x200 relay… two-time team MVP… holds the school record in Triple Jump (36’1.75”) and the 4x200 (1:48.17)... 

Favorite Sport (and why): "My favorite sport is basketball because it combines aspects from all my other sports. I am able to bring the running from track along with the jumping in volleyball, all into one sport. I also enjoy being part of a team and competing together to achieve one goal."

Best Part of High School Sports (and why): "The best part of playing high school sports is the memories I have made with my teammates. Through sports, I have enjoyed moments that I will never forget. This has also led me to meet some of my best friends!"

Best Advice from a High School Coach: "'Don’t take anything for granted' is the best advice I have gotten from Coach Dietrich. This advice helped me to always focus on each moment and it helped motivate me to always be focused."

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "My most memorable moment was when we qualified for the state meet for track for the 4x200 relay. We worked so hard and it was a super special moment to have with my friends. This also led to many awesome experiences at the state meet."

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "I think the best part of participating in three sports is that I am always able to stay active. I never really have an “off-season” which helps me to always be building muscle and improving my athleticism."

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "Time management is by far the hardest part of playing multiple sports. There isn’t much free time during the school year so I had to learn how to have a good balance between school, sports, and other activities."

Favorite Opponent (and why): "My favorite opponent is Kiel. They are a conference opponent which always leads to competitive games and meets."

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against (and why): "The toughest individual I have played against is Allie Ziebell during AAU and a high school scrimmage. She is a great athlete and is super fun to watch. She will be playing basketball collegiately at UConn." 

Most Admired High School Teammate (and why): "Karalyn Kietzer was my most admired teammate. She always had a positive attitude and was an amazing leader. Karalyn took me under her wing as a freshman and helped me navigate playing high school volleyball and running track. She plays collegiate volleyball at Concordia University."

College Plans: "I will be attending Winona State University to continue my education along with my basketball career. I plan to major in nursing."

Activities Outside of Sports: "I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. My favorite thing to do with them is to go out to eat!"

I Find it Relaxing to: "Spend time with my dog and watch movies."
