Two-time defending Division 1 state champion Kaukauna is the top-ranked team in the first WFSCA/WSN Softball Coaches Poll of the 2023 season. The Galloping Ghosts (5-0) are riding a 56-game winning streak. Sun Prairie East (7-0), Oak Creek (5-0), Superior (4-0), and Chippewa Falls (4-0) round out the top five. 

Medford is ranked No. 1 in the first Division 2 coaches poll of the season. Joining them in the top five are Ellsworth (7-1), Jefferson (6-2), defending state champion Freedom (4-1), and Winneconne (6-2). 

Defending state champion Poynette (8-0) is the top-ranked team in the first WFSCA/WSN Softball Coaches Poll of the season. The rest of the top five includes Brodhead (8-0), Winnebago Lutheran (7-0), Dodgeville (7-2), and Baldwin-Woodville (5-0). 

Grantsburg, the defending state champion, is the top-ranked team in the first Division 4 coaches poll of the 2023 campaign. Fall Creek (8-0), Horicon (8-2), Blair-Taylor (4-1), and Cuba City (7-1) round out the top five. 

Defending state champion Assumption (3-0) is the No. 1 team in the first WFSCA/WSN Softball Coaches Poll of the season. The rest of the top five includes Oakfield (7-0), Barneveld (6-2), Highland (8-1), and Belmont (6-2).
