The WSN Cup is an award that honors schools that provide and achieve success in many of the WIAA sponsored sports. The award totals points earned in both boys and girls sports. All WIAA sponsored sports are included as part of the scoring for the award.

Arrowhead won the Large School Division WSN Cup last season and has won 12 times in the Large School Division including 11 straight titles from 2007-2018. The Warhawks were second in the standings after the fall season to Middleton, but have overtaken the lead after a strong winter season. State runner-up finishes in both boys basketball and boys swimming/diving accounted for most of the points, but Arrowhead also got points in every other winter sport. Middleton is in second despite finishing eighth in the standings in the winter season. For the winter season, Nicolet, Hudson, Franklin and Verona rounded out the standings. Overall, Hudson, Muskego and Brookfield East sit at three through five in the standings.

Notre Dame is looking for its first WSN Cup since 2012-13 and is close to running away with it. After finishing first and 50 points ahead of second place in the fall season, the Tritons also won the winter season by 30 points. State titles in girls basketball and boys hockey are a big reason why Notre Dame had such a successful season. Pewaukee, McFarland, West Salem and Edgewood rounded out the top five in the winter season. Overall, Edgewood, West Salem, Whitefish Bay and McFarland finished two through five.

Xavier is the small school division after enrollment dropped below 500. The Hawks finished nearly 150 points ahead of the second place team in fall season and despite a low-scoring output in the winter, still sit atop the overall standings. Xavier scored just 56 points in the winter season, finishing outside the top 30 in overall points scored. McDonell Central dominated the winter standings with a girls basketball state title and boys basketball runner-up. For the winter season, Milwaukee Academy of Science, Aquinas, Prairie du Chien and Saint Mary Catholic rounded out the top five. Behind Xavier in the overall standings sit Aquinas, McDonell Central, Lakeside Lutheran and Kohler.

Divisions - Starting in 2008-09 schools will be placed in three divisions. The Large School Division is for schools with enrollment over 1000. Medium Schools are classified as 500 to 1000 and Small School division is below 500. In 2007-08 schools with enrollments of 900 or more were in the large school division while schools with enrollments up to 900 were in the small schools division.

Points - Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every team sport. Generally, the top 32 teams in each sport are awarded points. If less than 32 teams participate in a non-bracket sport state meet then those are the only schools that are awarded points. For Co-op teams the total points are divided equally amongst all schools in the co-op.
