rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week: Claire Emmerich, Dominican

Dominican junior Claire Emmerich has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of April 24-30 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 7,248 total votes this week. Emmerich topped all vote getters with 2,395 votes. Kimberly's Aiden Cudney came in a close second with 2,255 votes.

Emmerich was all over the pitch as the Dominican girls soccer team went 2-0-1 last week. First in a 7-1 win over Heritage Christian, the junior midfielder netted four goals and assisted on one other. She followed that up with a goal and four assists in a 6-1 win over Racine Lutheran. Emmerich finished her week with two goals and two assists in a 5-5 draw with Grafton. For the week, she finished with seven goals and seven assists, accounting for 14 of the 18 goals scored by the Knights.
