Marquette junior Michael Broeker has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of May 15-21 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 4,610 total votes this week. Broeker topped all vote getters with 1,691 votes. Boscobel's Gretta Grassel came in an extremely close second with 1,658 votes.

Broeker took home a conference title this past week, competing at the Greater Metro Conference Championship at the Morningstar Golfers Club in Waukesha. The junior golfer shot a 69, finishing five strokes ahead of the second place finisher. Broeker's medalist honors helped lead Marquette to a team conference title.

Broeker shot a 79 and took eleventh at the Franklin Regional earlier this week at Muskego Lakes Country Club.
