Chippewa Falls senior Brooklyn Sandvig has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of May 22-28 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.

There were 3,413 total votes this week. Sandvig topped all vote getters with 1,315 votes. Somerset's Hayley Settem came in second with 912 votes.

Sandvig is looking to repeat as state champ in the 100 and 200 meter dashes while three-peating in the 400 meter dash. The Iowa State commit won those three events and the long jump while competing at the Hudson regional early in the week. The senior then won the three races and took second at the D.C. Everest sectional, advancing to state in all four events for the third straight season. Sandvig won the 100 meter dash in 11.91 seconds, the 200 meter dash in 24.66 seconds and the 400 meter dash in 54.55 seconds at the sectional meet. Her distance of 18-07.25 took second in the long jump.

Sandvig will compete over the next two days at UW-La Crosse in the four contests.
