The Jolly Good Football Player of the Week is ready to go for 2023. Voting is featured at the bottom of this article. Voting is open until Thursday at 2 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word (hint: Social Media is a great way to do so). Users may vote once per day.

Jolly Good Week 9 Player of the Week Nominees

Max Bauer, Saint Mary's Springs

In a battle of unbeatens for the Flyway Conference crown, it was all Saint Mary's Springs in a 27-0 victory. Senior quarterback Max Bauer had a big day with his arm and his legs. Bauer completed seven-of-11 passes for 210 yards and two touchdown, both of which went to Sam Lucas for long scores. He also ran for a team-high 120 yards on 19 carries, adding a touchdown on the ground.

Nick Borckmann, Pewaukee

Pewaukee clinched a playoff spot with a 37-7 running clock victory over rival New Berlin Eisenhower on Friday night. Nick Borckmann had a career game, breaking the school record with 379 yards on just 19 carries, averaging 19.9 yards per attempt. He scored four touchdowns, all in the first half, including scoring runs of 40-, 21-, 86-, and 79-yards.

J.P. Doyle, Badger

Badger capped off an unbeaten season with a Southern Lakes Conference title by defeating Westosha Central 28-7. J.P. Doyle accounted for three of the Badgers' four first-half touchdowns and would finish the game with 23 carries for 188 yards and those three scores. He also completed his only pass for 21 yards.

Carter Kallies, Bay Port

Bay Port claimed an outright FRCC-North title with a 45-34 victory over West De Pere on Friday night. Carter Kallies put up 325 yards of offense in the game and accounted four four touchdowns. He completed six-of-eight passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns, with 177 yards and two rushing scores on 20 attempts. 

Jonathan Ksobiech, Kettle Moraine

In the de factor Classic Eight Conference championship game, Kettle Moraine was out-gained, but made the plays when they needed to in an 8-7 win over Muskego. Senior Jonathan Ksobiech was everywhere for the Lasers. He ran in the only score from seven yards with 5:37 left in the game, then added the two-point conversion run to put Kettle Moraine on top. He finished with 33 rushing yards and a touchdown on 10 hard-fought carries, also completing nine-of-13 passes for 82 yards. He also had a team-high 18 tackles defensively.
