The West Bend West Spartans have been selected as the Week 1 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team ended a 15-game losing streak to get the season off on the right foot. The Spartans were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 1. A total of 10,866 votes were cast, as West Bend West's 4,271 votes edged Barron's 3,999 votes.

West Bend West was impressive to open the 2024 season, putting a running clock on Sheboygan South in a 35-0 Week 1 in. It ended a 15-game losing streak that had dated to Labor Day weekend of 2022. The rushing attack was especially potent for the Spartans with 262 yards and four scores. Most of the damage was done by junior Noah Reinhart, who rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.
