Westosha Central senior Graham Foerster has been selected as the Box Out Sports Athlete of the Week for the week of September 23-29 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.
There were 3,211 total votes this week. Foerster topped all vote getters with 1,542 votes. Notre Dame's Christian Collins finished in second with 1,290 votes.
The Westosha Central boys volleyball team went 5-0 on the week, including a tournament title at Kenosha Indian Trail on Saturday. Foerster was a big reason why. The senior setter began his week with 22 assists, 3 aces, 3 digs, and 2 kills in a 3-0 sweep of Beloit Memorial. The Falcons then swept Kenosha Bradford, Appleton East, Brookfield East, and Kenosha Indian Trail in straight sets at the Indian Trail Invite. Foerster tallied 95 assists, 19 digs, 3 kills and 1 ace over the eight sets.
On Monday, Westosha swept Kenosha Tremper 3-0. Foerster had 42 assists, 5 digs, 4 blocks, and an ace in the three sets.
