Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year.

Division 1

Kimberly dropped its first game of the season against Neenah, and the Papermakers tumble down the poll to fourth this week. That allows Franklin to take over the top spot this week. Verona moves up to second, with Mukwonago elevating to third after taking down previously unbeaten Oconomowoc, who falls one spot to fifth.

Division 2

Not much change in Division 2 this week, where Slinger stays in the top spot. The rest of the top six is unchanged. The only loss was by Cedarburg, who fell to Homestead and drops a couple spots to ninth this week.

Division 3

Notre Dame stays on top of Division 3 this week, followed by Catholic Memorial, Mount Horeb/Barneveld, Grafton, and Port Washington. Menomonie fell to New Richmond and slides to tenth. Greendale and Plymouth fall out of the rankings this week, replaced by Stoughton and La Crosse Logan.

Division 4

The only loss by a ranked team in Division 4 last week saw Lake Mills go down to Columbus, as the L-Cats slip to eighth from fifth. West Salem is on top, followed by Columbus, Aquinas, Prescott, and Freedom, who defeated D5 top-ranked Wrightstown.

Division 5

A big change in Division 5, as Wrightstown went down to Freedom last week and falls out of the top spot in the rankings, sliding all the way to fifth. Stratford, the two-time defending champion in Division 6 who is elevated to D5 this season, is now the top-ranked squad. That's not the only change in the top five, as losses by Stanley-Boyd and Saint Mary's Springs also lost and slide down. The top five consists of Stratford, Kiel, Prairie du Chien, Amherst, and Saint Croix Falls. Lomira beat Springs and jumps into the top ten at number eight.

Division 6

Regis solidified its spot atop the rankings with a Saturday win over previously unbeaten Stanley-Boyd. Coleman is second, with Cambridge now third after a win over previously undefeated Pardeeville, who dips from fifth to ninth. Abbotsford also suffered its first loss of the year to Auburndale, falling from third to fifth.

Division 7

Potosi/Cassville continues on top of the Division 7 rankings this week, with Edgar right behind. Pepin/Alma suffered its first loss of the year to Cochrane-Fountain City, as the Eagles fall from third to eighth. C-FC enters the rankings at number ten, with Iola-Scandinavia falling out.

8-Player

Owen-Withee remains a near unanimous top-ranked team in the 8-Player football coaches poll on WSN, but there are some changes elsewhere in the top ten this week. Highland took down North Crawford in a top five showdown, and the Cardinals jump from fourth to second this week, just ahead of Hurley. North Crawford falls from third to eighth. Unbeaten Northwood/Solon Springs moves into the rankings, as Wausaukee slips out after its first loss to Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas.
