FOOTBALL

Offense

Cole Warren, Freshman (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah), Quarterback of UW-Oshkosh

Warren completed 26-of-42 passes for a season-high 289 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 24 yards with another touchdown on the ground in the Titans’ 34-33 upset win of No. 12/180-ranked UW-La Crosse at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on Oct. 12. He threw touchdown passes of 26, 4, and 16 yards, while rushing for a 3-yard touchdown.

Defense

Straka recorded a team-high 15 total tackles as the Pioneers held the top scoring offense in Division III to just seven points in a 28-7 win over No. 4-ranked UW-River Falls on Oct. 12. He made 11 solo stops and two tackles for loss in the victory as UW-Platteville held the Falcons to just 3.4 yards per play and 2.3 yards per rush. Straka also had two quarterback hurries in the contest.

Special Teams

Luke Cool, Senior (Franklin, Wis./Franklin), Kicker of UW-Stout

For the second straight week, Cool tied his own school record with five made field goals against No. 8-ranked UW-Whitewater. In UW-Stout’s upset win over the Warhawks, Cool was good from 34, 38, 26, 25 and 40 and also made two PAT for a total of 17 points to lift Stout to a 29-27 win. He averaged 55.6 yards on his eight kickoffs.
