Grantsburg took down old playoff rival Regis 31-8 to hand the Ramblers their first defeat of the season, advancing to the state semi-finals for the fourth time in the last ten years, as they search for their first trip to Camp Randall in school history. Senior running back Ian Burkman carried it 27 times for 193 yards and three scores in the win. He added a four-yard reception plus nine tackles on defense.
Bradley Check refused to allow Logan to lose on Friday night, including a game-winning 13-yard touchdown pass to Maxim Roberts with a defender draped all over him that lifted the Rangers to a thrilling 51-48 win over Medford. Check finished with 36 carries for 285 yards and four touchdowns, also completing nine-of-13 passes for 185 yards and two scores.
Notre Dame's offensive line dominated up front and Collins was virtually unstoppable as the Tritons ground out a 28-6 win over host Grafton to remain unbeaten and advance to the state semi-finals. Collins hit on some big plays and ground out tough yards to the tune of 322 yards and three scores on 42 carries. Not only that, he completed a 22-yard touchdown to James Flanigan out of the Wildcat formation.
Bay Port led at the half and pulled away for a 35-21 win over defending Division 1 state champion Marquette on Friday night. Junior running back Brady Moon had a career day, carrying the ball 32 times for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those scores came in the third quarter, as the Pirates were able to push their advantage. Moon also led the Pirates with five receptions for 76 yards.
It was another dominating performance for Thiry, who should be on the very small list for consideration as the WFCA Small School Offensive Player of the Year. The do-it-all senior Indiana commit ran for 169 yards and three touchdowns with three catches for 64 yards and a score as the Blackhawks dominated Milwaukee Academy of Science 39-0. Thiry also added three tackles and a sack on defense, plus averaged 42.5 yards per punt.
