At a press conference at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee today, the Milwaukee Bucks and WisSports.net announced the inaugural Deer District Prep Showcase event to be held Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at the arena.

The event will feature ten of the state's top teams and many of the best players participating in what is shaping up to be a premier showcase of talent at the state's preeminent basketball arena.

The Deer District Prep Showcase boasts an outstanding lineup of teams this year, featuring some of the top talent in Wisconsin, including the nation's top scorer from last year and the top-ranked Class of 2027 player in the state. There are two state tournament teams from a year ago and the ten participants in this season's event went a combined 203-64 last year, averaging more than 20 wins, with four conference champions.

"We're extremely excited to partner with the Milwaukee Bucks on what is shaping up to be one of the best and most anticipated prep basketball events in the state," said WisSports.net General Manager Travis Wilson.

"The Bucks contacted us earlier this year to be involved in the event, assisting with identifying top teams, contacting the schools and coaches, and providing additional support and promotion for the event. We reached out to some of the best teams in the state and have a fantastic schedule coming up for February 8th. Already, many other elite programs have expressed interest in participating in future seasons."

"It will be a great day showcasing Wisconsin high school basketball at the state's most finest arena," Wilson added.
