Audubon Technology at Beloit Memorial
Memorial has one of the most explosive lead guards in the state in junior Amare Hereford and the Purple Knights have to be itching to get their season started. Same can be said with Audubon and first-year head coach Fernando Williams and his team.

Kickapoo at Hillsboro
Kickapoo got a win over Cashton on opening night and will take on another Scenic Bluffs squad in Hillsboro, the first game for the Tigers. Both the Panthers and Tigers are predicted to compete in their respective conferences in 2024-25.

Prescott (Preseason D3 #15) at Holmen
Prescott is a perennial contender in the Middle Border conference with Nick Johnson coaching. That is no different this year despite a team that lost a lot to graduation a season ago. Holmen will be a player in the Mississippi Valley conference this season thanks in large part to the sharpshooting trio of Alex Berget, Kaiden Wilber, and Keenan Eisermann.

Oconto at Manitowoc Lutheran
Both teams are 1-0 and coming off impressive opening season victories. Oconto took down Division 5 contender Wabeno/Laona on opening night while Manitowoc Lutheran recorded a 27-point win over Two Rivers to start its season.

Potosi (Preseason D5 #5) at Mineral Point (Preseason D4 #2)
Postponed to February 8th
A matchup of two top five teams in their divisions is exactly the kind of game to pay attention to in the early parts of the year. Potosi is looking to make a run at the Division 5 State Tournament while Mineral Point is coming off a Division 4 State Championship and is a popular pick to get back to the Kohl Center.

Reedsville (preseason D4 #15) at New Holstein
Reedsville will play its first game on Monday, looking to start it's 2024-25 campaign off right behind juniors Ben Prochnow and Arden Strenn. For New Holstein, they are 0-1 on the season, falling to Saint Mary's Springs on a buzzer-beater. Freshman Owen Birschbach had 27 points in his first varsity game, so it'll be fun to see what he can do for an encore.

Madison La Follette at Sussex Hamilton
La Follette will play in its first game of the year as head coach Torrance Holmes has an extremely skilled with next level prospects Deb Lumpkin, Thian Riak, Origin Prewitt, and Reece Jordan Jr. Hamilton got already has a win over a Big Eight conference team, knocking off Madison West on Saturday and are led by senior wing Asher Haas.

Iola-Scandinavia at Almond-Bancroft (preseason D5 #9)
Almond-Bancroft is coming off a buzzer beater of a loss to Loyal and wanting to rebound in game 2. That will be no easy task with a young and hungry Iola-Scandinavia coming to town led by sophomores Korz Loken and Alex Robbins.

Appleton North (preseason D1 #7) at Bay Port
Appleton North is experienced, talented, and one of the better Division 1 teams in the state. The Lightning start their season Tuesday with a matchup against a very good Bay Port team that is coming off an impressive 85-77 win over Division 1, tenth-ranked Stevens Point.

Lake Mills (preseason D3, #3) at Cambridge
A Capitol crossover game pits these two 1-0 squads against one another in their second games of the season. Lake Mills got a career high 43 points from senior AJ Bender in game 1 and are a serious contender in Division 3. For Cambridge, head coach Alex Ranney is a 2017 Lake Mills graduate and was on the 2016-17 state qualifying squad.

Ashwaubenon (preseason D2, #13) at D.C. Everest
Ashwaubenon recorded a big win over Shawano on opening night but will have a much tougher test in game 2 with D.C. Everest who won a pair of games at the Eau Claire North Thanksgiving Classic. The Evergreens will pose a much bigger challenge for Alabama commit Amari Allen and the Jaguars.

Lancaster at Darlington
Lancaster took home a 64-48 season opening win over Barneveld but the competition ramps up in game two, traveling to Darlington. Despite losing a big group to graduation, the Redbirds are led by wing Broker Buschor and play in the talented SWAL conference.

Stoughton (preseason D2, #5) at Fort Atkinson (preseason D2, #9)
Two top team teams in Division 2 square off in a Badger non-con crossover matchup. Stoughton is coming off a loss to Oregon via a buzzer-beating three from Vaughn Karvala. The Vikings got 36 points from junior Jacob Hibner. Fort Atkinson beat Oshkosh West and loss closely to Hortonville at the Steven Randall Memorial Classic in Oshkosh West over the weekend. Both teams are looking to rebound off a loss.

Cedarburg at Homestead (preseason D1, #13)
Two contenders in the North Shore conference square off in the first game of the season for either team. Nick Mueller's Bulldogs are led by senior Logan Zahour, a very talented multi-sport athlete. For Sean Crider's Highlander squad, the trio of Trevor Polite, Michael Rogers Jr, and Justin Bliesner are all next level prospects.

Arrowhead (preseason D1, #12) at Kettle Moraine (preseason D1, #9)
Two top teams in the Classic Eight that are coming off state tournament berths square off in this high level, early season matchup. Arrowhead will be playing its first game while Kettle Moraine is 2-0 with wins over West Allis Hale and Whitnall.

Marshall (preseason D4, #3) at Lodi (preseason D3, #9)
Another Capitol crossover pits two preseason top ten teams as Marshall is coming off a hard fought win over Fall River where senior guard Kenyon Miggins dropped 30 points. Lodi on the other hand fell to Sauk Prairie and will be looking to get in the win column.

Regis (preseason D4, #8) at Marathon
Regis is looking to contend on a state level this season, something Marathon did last year, advancing to the state tournament. A post-Grant Warren season begins for the Red Raiders while Blake Risler Owen Weisenberger lead a talented Regis squad.

Amery at McDonell Central
Amery starts its season off Tuesday traveling to play the Macks. Carter and Keaton Wollan lead an Amery unit looking to compete in a very good mid-size school division in the Middle Border. For McDonell, the Macks are coming off a win over Colfax and aren't easy to guard with the balance offensively.

Oregon at McFarland
Oregon is coming off a thrilling win over Stoughton off a Vaughn Karvala buzzer-beating three. McFarland knocked off Division 3, fourth-ranked Edgerton and are looking to go two for two in noteworthy wins to start the season.

Tenor/Veritas at Oak Creek
The story in this game is the debut of Oak Creek freshman Jaquan Turner. The 6-5 wing is one of the top players in the 2028 class and will be a big determinant on the Knights level of competitiveness this season.

Royall (preseason D5, #2) at Seneca
Royall is looking to get a second straight win over a good Ridge & Valley team to start its season, coming off an opening night victory over Ithaca. Seneca will be competitive in the conference and are an experienced group back in 2024-25.

Kohler (preseason D4, #10) at Sheboygan North (preseason D1, #15)
A top ten team in Division 4 heads to a top fifteen in Division 1 in what is sure to be one of the better games of the night. Kohler had a 60-point win to begin its season while Sheboygan North has yet to play but is led by the trio of Cale Buboltz, Blake Buhr, and Logan Steffensmeier.

Port Washington at Slinger
Another top matchup in the North Shore conference, both teams are coming off of losses to very good teams. Port Washington has an experienced starting five while Slinger has one of the top sophomores in the state in Jack Kohnen.

Kenosha St. Joseph at Westosha Central
Westosha is the preseason pick to win the Southern Lakes conference and is led by one of the better inside-out combos in the state in senior point guard Elijah Griffin and senior big man Liam Lubkeman. St. Joes lost a close game to Waterford to open the season, but freshman Reymundo Garibay had a good debut with the Lancers.

Brookfield Central (preseason D2, #7) at Wisconsin Lutheran (preseason D1, #14)
A very good Greater Metro/Woodland West matchup is in store in this one as Dan Wandrey's Brookfield Central is coming off an opening win over New Berlin Eisenhower where senior guard Anthony Rise scored 32 points. For Wisconsin Lutheran, they're coming off a 30-0 season and a Division 2 state title. The Vikings will also take the floor without Kon Knueppel for the first time in four seasons. Not a problem for Ryan Walz's squad who figure to very good once again, despite moving up to Division 1.

This game's storyline revolves around sophomore triplets Pavle, Lazar, and Nikolas Djilas who transferred from Greendale to Brookfield Academy over the summer.
