Division 1

De Pere enters as the top-ranked Division 1 team once again, as the Redbirds figure to be a contender behind Wisconsin commit Zach Kinziger, Pryce Gregoire, and Roam Demovsky. Oshkosh West is second, while Marshfield, Kaukauna, and Kettle Moraine round out the top five. Defending D1 champion Marquette and last year's Division 2 champ Wisconsin Lutheran, who is elevated by the WIAA's Tournament Performance Factor, are unranked to begin the year.

Division 2

There will be a new champion in Division 2, as Wisconsin Lutheran moves up to D1 due to the WIAA's Performance Factor. Perennial power Pewaukee is also moved up. Despite losing star center Kai Rogers to an out of state prep school, Wauwatosa West enters as the number one team in Division 2. Nicolet is second. Ashwaubenon, Mount Horeb, and Whitnall round out the top five.

Division 3

Milwaukee Academy of Science is the heavy favorite in the Coaches Poll in a division that has some outstanding teams. The Novas already have impressive early season wins over very good Division 1 teams Verona and West Allis Central. Racine St. Catherine's is second, followed by Lake Mills, Freedom, and Dominican. Defending champion Saint Thomas More is moved up to Division 2.

Division 4

Mineral Point is the only defending champion to open as the number one team in the first WisSports.net Coaches Poll, as the Pointers lead the Division 4 field. Aquinas is second, with Marshall third. Milwaukee Juneau, ranked fourth, received a lot of support, despite a 1-4 start that includes three losses to out-of-state teams in a tournament in Illinois plus a defeat against Madison Memorial.

Division 5

Sheboygan Lutheran begins the year as the number one team in Division 5. The Crusaders are followed in the rankings by Royall, Potosi, defending champion Columbus Catholic, and Southwestern.
