Whitefish Bay sophomore Rowan Counsell has been selected as the Box Out Sports Athlete of the Week for the week of November 25 - December 1 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 2,342 total votes this week. Counsell topped all vote getters with 777 votes. Oregon's Vaughn Karvala finished in second with 560 votes.

Counsell had a hot start to her sophomore season, leading the Whitefish Bay girls basketball team to a pair of close wins to improve to 3-0 on the year. First in a 50-45 win over Appleton East, the 5-7 guard had a game-high 20 points along with six rebounds, four steals, and two assists. Counsell followed that up with 19 points, five assists, and three rebounds in a 64-63 win over Waunakee.
