Borst had an efficient two games for the Regis girls basketball team, leading the Ramblers to a pair of victories and an 8-2 start to the season. The senior guard scored 13 points on six of six shooting from the field, adding 12 rebounds in a 54-49 win over Fall Creek. Borst then shot 10 of 14 from the field en route to 24 points and 17 rebounds in a 73-40 victory over Cadott. For the season, Borst is averaging 16.6 points and 11.0 rebounds per game while shooting 63% from the field.
Daly had a week to remember for the New London boys basketball squad as they picked up a pair of victories. The 6-6 junior post set his career high in scoring in back-to-back games while recording a double-double in both of those contests. First in an 89-61 win over Winneconne, Daly scored 36 points on 15 of 23 points, adding 16 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. Four days later he followed that up by setting a new career high in points scored in a game in the 74-52 win over Green Bay East. Daly had 38 points on 16 of 21 shooting with 13 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
It's not new news that Chris Davis Jr. can score the ball in bunches. The transfer from cross-town Sun Prairie West has helped the East Cardinals to a 6-1 record going into the holiday break. Last week, Davis scored 37 points and added 7 rebounds and 3 assists in an 84-55 win over Madison East. Sun Prairie East then scored an eye-popping 123 points in a 123-92 victory over Madison La Follette on Saturday. Davis scored 53 himself, shooting 21 of 31 from the field and adding five rebounds and four steals. He's 23 points shy of 2,000 in his prep career.
It was a very good week for Kuepper and the Hartford boys basketball team as the Orioles went a perfect 3-0 going into the holiday break. The fireworks started in game one of the week in a 69-67 win over Port Washington. With the clock expiring, Kuepper stepped into and hit his sixth three-point shot of the game, winning the game at the buzzer. The sophomore finished with 22 points and 4 assists. He again scored 20 in Hartford's 64-48 victory over Grafton. Kuepper finished his week with 17 points in an 82-34 blowout of Cudahy, capping off a strong week after starting it with a buzzer-beater.
Metcalfe can score at an extremely high rate, and did so in two victories for the Shorewood girls basketball team this past week. In a 62-35 win over Salam, the senior guard scored 41 points in a triple-double performance. She added 13 steals, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks, all while shooting 18 of 34 from the field. Metcalfe then tallied 36 points and 21 rebounds in a 59-51 victory over Brown Deer.
