Below are some of the top moments, statistical nights, and more from this week in boys basketball.

Monday, January 13

Colby 81, Abbotsford 58
Colby collected its third win of the season on Monday as two of the seniors recorded double-doubles in the victory. Combo guard Miguel Morillon had 15 points for the Hornets while added 11 assists, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. 6-7 big man Tucker Hayes had a game high 28 points while adding 15 rebounds and 9 blocks.

Palmyra-Eagle 88, Eastbrook Academy 38
Palmyra got back on its winning ways after suffering its first lost last week. Devin Patrick had a monster game for the Panthers. The senior forward had a game high 30 points on 14 of 18 shooting and added 13 rebounds for his tenth double-double in as many games this season.

Cooper Jesperson, Eau Claire Memorial
Jesperson knocked down six of eleven shots from deep and paced the Old Abes with 34 points in a 74-48 win over D.C. Everest. The senior point guard added seven assists and five rebounds. Senior teammate Wesley Mboga recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Freedom 93, Luxemburg-Casco 74
Freedom continued its winning ways in the North Eastern conference on Monday. Sophomore Donovan Davis recorded a 27-point triple-double in the Irish's win. He was 13 of 18 from the field while adding 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Senior Drew Kortz matched Davis' 27 points along with five rebounds and four steals. 

Jesse DeBauch, Gillett
DeBauch continued his torrid scoring ways in Gillett's 68-58 win over Coleman on Monday. The senior lead guard scored a career high 48 points in the victory, his second 40-point game in the past three for the Tigers.

Kenosha Bradford 79, Milwaukee Riverside 77
On a night where he and his fellow seniors were recognized for their contributions to the Bradford program, Robby Belotti had a moment and night he'll never forget. Down one, three seconds on the clock, and an entire court to cover; no problem for Belotti. He calmly lets go a shot from three-quarters court that barely hits rim and gives the Red Devils a thrilling win. Belotti finished with a career high 30 points on his night to remember.

Wesley Kraisinger, Highland
It was a career night for the senior forward as Highland beat Pecatonica 95-59. Kraisinger poured in a career high 40 points in the win, helping Highland improve to 10-1 on the season.

Jayden Schoepp, Richland Center
In a game against Wauzeka-Steuben that started off slowly, Schoepp got it going to close out the first half for the Hornets. The sophomore point guard caught fire after starting one of six from deep. Schoepp finished with a career high 27 points in Richland Center's 64-35 win over Wauzeka-Steuben. He made his last six three-point shots, finishing 7 of 12 from deep and added sevens steals, four assists, and three rebounds.

Cade Stasiek, Spring Valley
Stasiek came one shot shy of finishing perfect from the field in an 80-32 win over Luck on Monday night. The 6-1 senior finished with a game high 33 points, making 14 of 15 shots and all three free throws. He added 14 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals in the win.

Aiden Hawkinson, Waupun
Waupun recorded a dominating 95-58 win over Winnebago Lutheran on Monday night as Hawkinson again made play after play on the court. The senior wing finished with 30 points on 11 of 15 shooting and 5 of 8 from down town. Hawkinson also recorded five rebounds, five steals, three assists, and two blocks.

Ayden Phillips, Almond-Bancroft
Phillips became the fourth player in the Class of 2025 to surpass 2,000 career points on Monday night. He did so despite a 60-57 loss to Westfield. The 6-7 senior forward is also exceptional on the gridiron, where he has committed to UW-Eau Claire for next season.

Max Gordon, Bayfield
Gordon did all he could to will Bayfield to a victory, but the Trollers came up short in a 70-58 loss to Mellen. The 6-3 senior finished with a game high 28 points and 20 rebounds, adding three blocks and three steals.

Kane Donnelly, Somerset
Donnelly poured in a career high as Somerset knocked off Grantsburg 101-79. The senior wing had 45 points in the victory, going 17 of 26 from the field and adding 9 of 14 from the free throw line.

For Grantsburg, Jayden Brown crossed the 1,000 point mark in his prep career.

Tuesday, January 14

Carter Wollan, Amery
Wollan became the fifth player currently in high school to join the 2,000 point club in their prep careers. In an 85-66 loss to St. Croix Central, the 6-3 senior wing netted a game high 30 points. Wollan is the fifth player in the Class of 2025 to reach this milestone.

Braylon Backaus, Black River Falls
Backaus had his third 30-point game as Black River Falls got the first win of the season 74-65 over Luther. The 5-11 sophomore guard finished with a game high 30 points for the Tigers.

Bruce 40, Clayton 37
Bruce took home a thrilling win on Monday night, capped off with the game-winner shown above. Junior Ryder Rodewald took the inbounds pass at the top of the key, dribbled once to his left, and buried a shot from 20 feet to secure the 40-37 win over Clayton.

Mac Konieczny, Columbus Catholic
The Dons secured a 63-50 win over Owen-Withee thanks in large part to the play of its junior guard Konieczny. The son of coach Joe Konieczny paced all scorers with a career high 30 in the victory.

Barrett Meyer, Horicon
Meyer tied a career high in points scored in a game as Horicon turned away Mayville 76-65 in a non-conference win. The junior wing poured in 30 points for the Marshmen.

Kenosha Indian Trail 68, Milwaukee Washington 67
Indian Trail freshman Josiah Linsley was not afraid to take the big shot for the Hawks in this one. He caught the inbound, squared up and hit the shot above with all the confidence in the world, securing a KIT victory. Linsley finished with 13 points in the game.

Drew Daoust, Southern Door
Daoust had a season high 37 points as he paced the Eagles in a 64-61 Packerland conference win over Kewaunee. The steady senior added eight assists, six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks, playing a complete game. With his output, Daoust became just the eighth player in state history to surpass 2,500 career points. He passed 2020 Sheboygan Lutheran grad Jacob Ognacevic for seventh place all-time.

Tommy Novotny, Marquette University
Novotny is one of the best football players in the state, but excels on the hardwood as well for the Hilltoppers. Marquette got its first Greater Metro win of the season Tuesday, a 64-51 victory over Wauwatosa East. Novotny led all scorers with 29 points and added ten rebounds in the process.

Andrew Munson, North Crawford
Munson came into Tuesday night's game with De Soto needing just 19 points to surpass 1,000 in his prep career. The 6-1 senior hit that mark and milestone in front of his home fans in the Trojan's 68-48 win.

Onalaska 68, Aquinas 64
Onalaska handed Aquinas its first loss of the season in this hotly contested Misssissippi Valley Conference tilt. The Hilltoppers were led by Ian Kowal with 20 points while Broden Steiner, Jack Smith, and Noah Chenault all scored in double figures. With the win, Holmen sits atop the standings at 3-0, but Aquinas, Onalaska, and La Crosse Central all are just one game out.

Fond du Lac 75, Oshkosh North 68
Fond du Lac just keeps stacking wins in the FVA conference. With this victory, the Cardinals have already beaten Neenah, Hortonville, Appleton North and Oshkosh North in league play. A big matchup with Kaukauna looms ahead this Friday. For Fondy, Eli Braatz had a game high 20 points while Eli Zimerman, Travion Pate, and Marvin Haslett III all scored in double figures.

Jay'vion Hill, Janesville Parker
Hill led all Parker scorers as the Vikings took down Racine Horlick 70-68 in a double overtime thriller. Before last night's game, Hill's career high in points was 21 and his season high was just 14 points. The junior guard poured in 27 points, knocking through seven three-point shots.

Kenosha St. Joseph 70, Dominican 67
Tied at 57 with 1.7 seconds left, St. Joes had an inbounds at the front court sideline. Sophomore Christopher Kenesie took the inbound, took one dribble, and put up a contested three as time expired. The shot was pure and the Lancers got a big win over a ranked Dominican squad.

Logan Ramczyk, Xavier
Xavier got a big conference win over Seymour on Tuesday, knocking off the Thunder 63-46. Ramczyk led all scorers in this one with 23 points on 10 of 16 shooting. He filled the stat sheet aside from his scoring, tallying eight rebounds, eight assists, four steals, and two blocks.

Sheboygan North 79, Notre Dame 72
Sheboygan North picked up another big-time win and improved to 11-1 on the season after this victory between two ranked FRCC teams. Logan Steffensmeier led all scorers with 23 points on 10 of 13 shooting. Cale Buboltz added 19 points and 9 assists for the Golden Raiders. A matchup with Ashwaubenon is on the horizon on Friday.

Jaydon Awe, Stevens Point
Awe hit the 1,000 point mark in his prep career on Tuesday night in a 62-44 win over Wisconsin Rapids. The 6-9 senior needed just four points coming into this one to cross that threshold.

Will Sieracki, Valders
Sieracki and Valders squared off with one of the top small-school teams in the state in Bonduel. The Vikings gave the Bears the toughest game of the season, as Bonduel won by its closest margin 71-58. Sieracki, a senior guard, tie the game high of 24 points in the loss. With that output, Sieracki surpassed 1,000 points in his prep career.

Auburndale 72, Marathon 69
Two overtimes is what it took for Auburndale to secure a win in this Marawood-South clash. In regulation Auburndale's Peyton Weinfurter his two free throws with less than a second left to force overtime. In the first overtime, Marathon's Ean Shuda made the three-point runner at the buzzer to force a second overtime period. Auburndale did prevail but not for lack of fireworks. Blake Raab led all scorers with 30 for Auburndale.

Anthony Rise, Brookfield Central
Rise came into Tuesday night's game against Wauwatosa West needing 20 points to hit the 1,000 point mark during his time at Central. He hit that while leading the Lancers to a third straight quality win. Rise finished with a game high 33 points on 10 of 18 shooting from the field and 10 of 14 from the free throw line in Central's 84-78 victory.

Sam Hemery, Green Bay West
Hemery was one of a handful of players to hit the 1,000 point mark on Tuesday night in the state. The senior guard finished with a team high 25 points for the Wildcats, despite a 93-79 loss to Menasha.

Quintin Bressette, Bayfield
Bressette etched his name in the Bayfield record books on Tuesday in a 96-13 victory over Butternut. The 6-0 senior poured in a season high 49 points in the win. In doing so, Bressette became Bayfield's all-time leading scorer.

Thursday, January 16

Arcadia 66, Cochrane-Fountain City 54
CFC came into this one as one of the few undefeated teams left in the state, but ended the night as one of three teams to suffer its first loss of the year. Freshman Deklyn Grzadzielewski led the Raiders in scoring with 18 points while Kaiden Rotering (2025) and Carter Wegman (2027) added 16 and 12 points.

Matt Buckman, Cambridge
Buckman had another huge outing scoring the ball as Cambridge beat New Glarus 69-52 in a Capitol-South matchup. The 6-4 senior poured in 38 points in the win. The Blue Jays improved to 2-0 in conference play, tied atop the standings with Marshall.

Reagan Flickinger, Clinton
Flickinger came into this Thursday night's game with East Troy tied as the program's leading scorer. He paced the Cougars with 36 points, setting a new record in the program, leading Clinton to an 83-81 win.

Tyler Rennie, Coleman
Rennie poured in a career high as Coleman knocked off Lena 62-55 on Thursday night. The senior guard had a career high 30 points in the win, going 8 of 10 from the free throw line. Rennie filled the stat sheet beyond his scoring, tallying 15 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.

Elijah Griffin, Westosha Central
Griffin put pressure on the Elkhorn defense all night as he led his Falcons to a 61-58 win on Thursday night. The senior guard scored 37 points, getting to the free throw line and making all ten of his attempts along the way. Griffin added five assists, three rebounds and a block and an assist.

Carter Cherney, Cameron
Cameron got a 89-56 win over Hayward on Thursday as Cherney helped lead the way. The 6-4 senior poured in a high of 33 points in the win.

Owen-Withee 54, Loyal 52
The second undefeated team to fall on this Thursday night did so at the hands of the Owen-Withee Blackhawks. A put back layup by senior Dominic Sherwood of Owen-Withee with two seconds left in regulation forced the overtime period. In the overtime period, Sherwood attacked the rim, drew a foul, and buried two free throws in a tie game to up the Blackhawks up two with two seconds left, which ended up being the winning margin.

Tyler Kowal, Onalaska
Onalaska continued to roll, winning 84-52 over La Crosse Logan. For most of the season, older brother Ian has been one of the top scorers for the Hilltoppers and head coach/father Craig Kowal. Tyler led the team in scoring in this one. The freshman guard paced Onalaska with 21 points.

Camden Schurk, Pacelli
Schurk led Pacelli to a dominant 81-46 win over Port Edwards Thursday night. The senior wing and son of head coach John Schurk became the program's all-time leading scorer earlier in the year and has been rolling since. He finished with 30 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, while shooting 12 of 16 from the field.

Eau Claire North 61, River Falls 60
Eau Claire North got a huge Big Rivers conference win in dramatic fashion Thursday night. Down two with a little over three seconds left, senior Aaron Gust took an inbounds pass, dribbled three times, and hit a contested three-point shot at the buzzer to win it for the Huskies. Senior back court mate Elliott Bessen led North with 22 points while Preston Johnson had 30 for River Falls.

Noah Moul, Saint Mary's Springs
Moul led the way for the Ledgers as they knocked off ranked Lomira 65-62 and improved to 6-0 in the Flyway conference. The senior forward led all scorers with 23 points and in doing so, scored his 1,000 point in his prep career.

Kohler 65, Sheboygan Lutheran 63
Sheboygan Lutheran came into this huge Big East-South matchup clicking on all cylinders and playing at an extremely high level. The Crusaders are ranked first in division 5 in the WSN Boys Basketball Coaches Poll and were one of a handful of undefeated teams left. Kohler is also ranked sixth in Division 4 and picked up this marquee win. The Blue Bombers are now tied at the top of the conference standings with Lutheran and Oostburg.

Drew Daoust, Southern Door
Another game, another spot climbed in the state's all-time leading scorer list for the senior from Southern Door. Daoust scored 33 points and added 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals in a 69-49 win over Sturgeon Bay. With that scoring output, Daoust sits at 2,559 career points and is sixth sixth all-time. He passed the 1995 graduate out of Cassville that many remember, Sam Okey.

Chris Davis Jr, Sun Prairie East
Davis put together an other-worldly performance as Sun Prairie East got a huge win over Verona 98-79. The Cardinals handed Verona its first loss in conference play and Davis tied a career high in points scored in a game. He poured in an eye-popping 61 points in the victory for East and is now averaging 39.9 points per game. Davis currently sits at 29th on the state's all-time scoring list and is on pace to finish in the top ten.

West Bend West 53, Whitefish Bay 50
Drive to the rim. Force the defense to help. Kick to the open shooter. Knock down a game-winner. This was the formula the Spartans executed to perfection in their win on Thursday night. Senior wing Carson Bauer had the game-winning assist to fellow senior Eddie Scott who buried the game-winning corner three.

Finn DeBlare, Jefferson
It may not have been a victory for Jefferson on Thursday night at Turner, but their senior lead guard had a night he'll remember. DeBlare scored his 1,000th career point despite Jefferson's 59-42 loss.

Friday, January 17

Kane Donnelly, Somerset
Donnelly has had a pair of games to remember in his past two contests for Somerset, scoring 40-plus in back-to-back contests. The Winona State football commit scored 42 points on 16 of 18 shooting this past Friday, just four days after scoring 45. Donnelly added eight rebounds though the Spartans fell 90-75 to Altoona.

Ashwaubenon 70, Sheboygan North 60
Ashwaubenon got a signature win on the season in this one between ranked FRCC opponents. A week after a close loss to De Pere, the Jaguars impressed in this one. Senior star Amari Allen finished with a game high 36 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Junior forward Carson Dorgu added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Cuba City 60, Darlington 58
A game between two SWAL teams that have been playing very good basketball as of late came down to the final second to determine a winner. Tied at 58, senior Gavin Vaassen took the inbound pass and went three quarters of the court off the dribble and banked in a contested runner to secure a Cubans victory.

Brian Strzok, Lake Holcombe
Strzok helped lead Lake Holcombe to a 51-48 win over a Flambeau team that came into the Friday night matchup with a 10-1 record. In doing so, the senior guard hit a milestone in his prep career. Strzok finished with a team high 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. He hit the 1,000 point mark with that output.

Zak Walters, Luck
Walters buried six three-pointers in Luck's 67-53 win over Siren. The senior shooting guard finished with a team high 30 points and added seven assists to boot for the Cardinals.

Milwaukee Bradley Tech 91, St. Paul Central 77
Bradley Tech picked up win number nine Friday night over an out-of-state opponent. Senior guard Arvell Lockhart led all scorers with 28 points, making six of nine from deep. Junior and Division 1 prospect Jakari Smith added a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Senior guard Rashad Fenner filled the stat sheet with 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Southwestern 79, Mineral Point 77
Southwestern came into this SWAL matchup having lost the first head-to-head game by 20 points back in December. The Wildcats led this one by 22 points at one point, but top-ranked Mineral Point battled it back and actually took the lead on a Jaxson Wendhausen three-point shot with a little over 30 seconds left. Everett Droessler buried a shot from deep with 13 seconds left that proved to be the game-winner. Droessler finished with 18 points and 9 assists while teammate Aiden Keleher had a team high 21 points.

Sam Berruecos, Westfield
Berruecos was feeling it as Westfield held off Montello 85-83 on Friday night. The senior guard who recently surpassed the 1,000 point milestone finished with a career high 46 points for the Pioneers, adding seven rebounds and three assists.

Matyas Larson, Saint Croix Central
Larson set a new high in scoring as Saint Croix Central knocked off out-of-state opponent Red Wing 78-70 on Friday. The junior guard poured in 34 points in the victory, going 11 of 16 from the free throw line. Larson added 9 rebounds and 5 assists as well.

Sam Bezlyk, Spencer
Bezlyk has been dominant this season scoring and rebounding the ball and he continued to roll Friday night in an 82-60 win over Colby. The senior forward paced the Rockets with 33 points on 12 of 15 shooting. Bezlyk added 15 rebounds and 6 assists in the win.

Saturday, January 18

Logan Zahour, Cedarburg
Zahour was feeling it and nearly outscored the entire Franklin team in a 93-53 victory on Saturday in the Luke Homan Memorial Showcase at Brookfield Central. The senior guard set a new high in scoring with 48 points in the win. That output also set a program record, as Zahour is the new single game points scored record holder for Cedarburg.

Laconia 73, Sheboygan Lutheran 66
Lutheran came into this game coming off its first loss of the season and looking to rebound. The Laconia duo of Cash Farrell and Ethan Pinno were not so keen on letting that happen. The pair combined for 53 points in the Spartan win. Farrell had a game high 27 points, while Pinno was not far behind with 26. Both Farrell and Pinno are less than 40 points shy of scoring 1,000 in their respective prep careers.

Easton Oliver, Living Word Lutheran
Oliver helped lead the Timberwolves to a 93-77 win over Kingdom Prep Lutheran over the weekend and in doing so, hit a milestone in his prep career. The senior guard had 20 points in the victory and surpassed 1,000 points during his time at Living Word Lutheran.

Mario Orta, Racine Lutheran
Orta came into Saturday's game against Milwaukee Lifelong Learning averaging just 4.3 points per game and having 22 points as the most he's scored in a single game. The Crusaders paced to a 111-46 victory and Orta set a new scoring high. The senior guard poured in 37 points, making 9 of 19 shots from deep.

Drew Daoust, Southern Door
Daoust is now a top five all-time scorer in the history of boys high school basketball in the state of Wisconsin. The senior guard had 35 points in the Eagles 88-45 win over Green Bay NEW Lutheran on Saturday. In doing so, he passed 2012 Sheboygan Lutheran and high school hoops legend Sam Dekker by one point, to sit in the fifth spot on the all-time list.
