It was not a good week to be a ranked team in Division 1, as seven of the teams in last week's poll suffered at least one loss. That included number one Wisconsin Lutheran. Despite an overtime defeat at the hands of Breck (MN) at the Midwest Players Classic, the Vikings do narrowly hold onto the top spot in this week's rankings. New to the top five are Waunakee and Eau Claire Memorial. Sheboygan North and Verona also remain in the top five despite losses. New to the rankings this week are Kaukauna, Hortonville, and Madison Memorial, as Sun Prairie East, Brookfield East, and Germantown drop out.
Like in Division 1, the top-ranked team in last week's D2 WSN Coaches Poll suffered defeat but was able to stay on top. Mount Horeb fell to Caledonia (MN) but remains the top program. Slinger slides up to second, just ahead of Nicolet. Greenfield makes a big jump into the top five, while Ashwaubenon's impressive run has the Jaguars up to seventh this week. Brookfield Central and Waterford are new to the poll, as Onalaska and Rice Lake fall out.
The top five is unchanged this week, with Milwaukee Academy of Science the number one team in the Division 3 poll. Freedom, Racine Lutheran, Lake Mills, and Lakeside Lutheran continue to round out the top five. Dominican and Prescott fall out this week, with Waupun and Little Chute moving into the rankings for Week 8.
Big changes in Division 4 this week, as Mineral Point's narrow loss to Southwestern causes the Pointers to slip to second. Former number two Aquinas also loss, meaning unbeaten Bonduel ascends to the top position in the WSN Coaches Poll. Cuba City took down rival Darlington and enters the rankings for the first time, along with Howards Grove. Lomira and Darlington fall out of the rankings.
Yet another division with changes, as Sheboygan Lutheran lost not just once but twice. The Crusaders slip to fifth in this week's poll, allowing Royall to move to the top position this week. North Crawford is up to second, followed by Highland and Southwestern. Loyal and River Ridge also suffered their first defeat last week and remain in the poll but slip out of the top five. Almond-Bancroft replaces Spring Valley in the poll.
