Fort Atkinson is on a mission. The Blackhawks have not won a conference title in well over two decades and this game was the first and biggest step in accomplishing that feat. Mission successful. Fort now sits atop the Badger-Large standings with a one game lead over Waunakee with two league games left.

Caleb Peplinski, Hustisford
Peplinski has been a major bright spot for a Hustisford team that has struggled this season. He's dominated most nights and did just that in a 67-66 loss to Horicon on Tuesday. Peplinski finished with 34 points, 20 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 blocks. He came into the game needing 33 points to join the 1,000 point club and did just that despite the loss.

Nick Blank, Laconia
Blank has been the third option behind Cash Farrell and Ethan Pinno for most of the season for Laconia, and he's been a great third piece. With Pinno out Tuesday, the junior guard had a career night in an 84-55 win over Omro. Blank finished with a career high 31 point for the Spartans in the victory.

Lake Mills 52, Lodi 51
This was a battle for the Capitol-North title as Lodi needed a win to force a tie atop the standings. Wednesday, February 19

Roncalli 70, Bonduel 48
This was a late addition to the schedule as both teams were in search of a game mid-season. It pitted the Division 4, top-ranked Bears against the third-ranked Jets. Roncalli used a big second half and pulled away for eventual 22-point win. Early on the Jets were hot from deep, while the second half the Jets defense stifled the Bonduel offense.

For Bonduel, junior big man Ryan Westrich did have a memorable moment as he joined the 1,000 point club late in the second half.

Dahir Abdullahi, Greenfield
Greenfield may have taken the second loss of the season Wednesday night, an 82-74 defeat to Milwaukee Lutheran, but the senior point guard did hit a career milestone. Abdullahi scored 14 points in the loss and in doing so, joined the 1,000 point club.

Mitchell was nearly unguardable against a team that has excelled on that side of the ball this season, Fond du Lac. A finalist for the Mr. Basketball award in Wisconsin, Mitchell had 40 points as he led the Spartans to an 85-80 win over the Cardinals, possibly playing spoiler in Fond du Lac's race for the conference title.

Wilson Scherer, West Allis Hale
Hale may have lost to Pius XI Catholic 84-72 on Thursday night, but Scherer was one of four players across the state to join the 1,000 point club on the night. The senior guard became the fifth player in program history to achieve that mark in for West Allis Hale boys basketball.

Saint Thomas More 46, Shoreland Lutheran 44
Jack Hennessy
struggled from the field for much of the game for the Cavaliers, going just 2 of 11 overall shooting the ball. However, that did not deter the senior guard from making the biggest play of the game. Hennessy hauled in an offensive rebound and had to quickly put the ball back up, beating the buzzer, and winning the game for Thomas More.

Assumption 44, Marathon 42
Assumption pulled off the upset on Friday night in one of the more thrilling game-winners I've seen this year. Tied at 42 with the ball under the hoop, Assumption had .2 seconds left on the clock. That allows for only catch and release shots. Enter sophomore Trey France who caught an inbounds pass in the air and put the game winner through the hoop. JT Schlaefer finished with a game high 21 points for Assumption.

Matthew Kloskey, Wauwatosa West
Kloskey joined the 1,000 point club while pulling Tosa West into a three-way tie atop the Greater Metro standings. Andrew Lehman & Timmy Meltz, Ladysmith
Lehman and Meltz did something that I had never seen before this season. The duo senior teammates joined the 1,000 point club in the same game in last night's 77-64 loss to Cumberland. It's the fifth time this season a pair of teammates have hit that milestone in the same game.

Wyoming commit Gavin Gores had a huge night for Cumberland in the win however, finishing with 47 points and 12 rebounds for the Beavers.

Cooper Jesperson, Eau Claire Memorial
Jesperson wrote his name into the Eau Claire Memorial boys basketball yet again on Friday night in the 82-41 cross-town win over Eau Claire North. Schmidgall was a monster around the rim in the Crickets' 71-51 win over Cadott Friday night. The 6-7 sophomore recorded yet another double-double with 24 points and 20 rebounds on 11 of 17 shooting. He added three assists, steals, and blocks in the win as well.

Cahlil Jones, Germantown
Jones had 13 points but the Warhawks fell to Brookfield East 61-52 on Friday night. However, the 6-3 junior did join the 1,000 point club in the win. Jones has scored 1,004 points in 74 career games.

Sam Fait, Catholic Central
Fait has carried the scoring load for most of the season for Catholic Central and it's led to a high volume amount of shots and points. The sophomore win joined the 1,000 point club in Friday night's 70-61 loss Kenosha Christian Life.

Keegan Van Kauwenberg, Kaukauna
Van Kauwenberg was on a different level on Friday night as Kaukauna beat Kimberly 98-79. DaMariye Redmond, Martin Luther
Redmond poured in a career high scoring the ball as Martin Luther got a huge 81-71 win over Dominican on Friday night. The junior guard had 33 points for the Spartans.

Southern Door clinched the Packerland conference title outright on Friday night in an 85-71 win over Kewaunee. Daoust led the way yet again. The senior wing finished with 45 points on 15 of 22 shooting and 8 of 16 shooting from three. That performance puts Daoust just 58 points shy of becoming the second player in Wisconsin high school boys basketball history to score 3,000 in his career.

Brock Miller, University School
Miller was highlighted this week as a our Triple Threat Athlete of the Week. Friday night he led University School to a 57-54 win over The Prairie School. In doing so, Miller joined the 1,000 point club, capping off a great week.
