Krahn and the Blackhawks got two wins last week and secured a share of the SWC conference title by avenging an earlier season loss. Tuesday in a 69-54 win over Cuba City, the 5-4 senior guard led all scorers with 24 points while adding five assists and two steals. She then led Prairie with 15 points as the Blackhawks upended Platteville 53-48, splitting the season series with the Hillmen, and forcing a share of the conference crown.
Neubauer led the Patriots to a pair of impressive wins last week after the senior forward surpassed 1,000 career points earlier in the month. Tuesday, East squared off with the top team in Division 3, Oostburg and Neubauer was exceptional. She finished with 24 points while shooting six of nine from beyond the arc. She capped off a 17 point comeback in the second half by burying a go ahead, and eventual game winning three point shot with nine seconds left. The NCAA Division II Minnesota Duluth commit followed that up by scoring 24 points again in a 77-60 win over Appleton North.
TeBeest, along with his younger brother Blake and Cale were integral in McFarland winning the Division 2 team state title the Boys Swimming & Diving for the second straight season. The eldest of the trio of brothers won the 50 freestyle swim in a time of 20.52 seconds, an event he finished runner-up in last season and third in 2023. Shane also won the 100 freestyle in a time of 45.16 seconds. The senior swimmer then teamed with his brothers and Preston Nygaard in the 200 medley relay and won the event with a time of 1:29.88, a new Division 2 state meet record, and the third straight title for the Spartans. He was also a part of the 400 relay winning team that finished with a time of 3:04.66.
Wilson etched his name into the Madison West records book last week as he led the Regents to a pair of Big Eight conference wins. The junior guard first had 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists in a 92-60 win over Janesville Parker. During that game, Wilson became the program's all-time leading scorer and 1,468 career points after this week of play. West then squared off with Madison Memorial and defeated the Spartans with a one-point 63-62 thrilling win, knocking them out of the conference title race. Wilson finished with a game high 26 points on 9 of 11 shooting, and added 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.
Wolf won two individual titles and was a part of two winning relays as Middleton captured its third straight WIAA Division 1 Boys Swimming 7 Diving State Championship. The senior swimmer set the Division 1 State Meet record while taking home gold in the 100 backstroke, finishing with a time of 53.07 seconds. He also won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:47.58, his second straight championship in this event. Wolf and his relay team then set a record in the 200 freestyle winning gold in a time of 1:21.93. Wolf finished his day as part of the 400 relay team that won gold for the fourth consecutive year, winning the race with a time of 3:03.78.
