Appleton East's Torie Neubauer has been picked as the state's top senior defender as part of the WSN Senior Basketball Awards.
Neubauer helped lead the Patriots to a WIAA Division 1 State Tournament appearance and a 19-9 overall record.
The WBCA all-state honorable mention choice led the team in points (14.4), rebounds (6.8), and blocks (1.0) per game, and added 2.4 assists, and 1.6 steals per contest.
Torie shot 46.6 percent from the field, 64-for-78 (82.1%) on free throws, and 48-for-122 (39.7%) from 3-point land for coach Brian Paschen and the Patriots.
Neubauer was named to the FVA's all-defensive team as a junior and senior, earning first-team all-league both years. She was also a second-team all-FVA performer as a sophomore.
Torie compiled 1,162 points, 614 rebounds, 163 assists, 135 steals, and 114 blocks in her career.
Neubauer, an NCAA Division II Minnesota Duluth recruit, was part of Appleton East's squad that finished as the Division 1 state runner-up in 2022.
The finalists for the award were Neubauer, Telisha Brown of Kenosha Bradford, Cali Havlovitz of Wild Rose, Erin Schauer of Edgewood, Sarah Shaw of Assumption, Anna Terrian of Pewaukee, and Grace Zortman of Homestead.
