Germantown (19-7 overall) claimed the Greater Metro title last season while Menomonee Falls (19-7, Sectional Finalist) placed 2nd followed by Hamilton (19-8, WIAA D1 State Qualifier) in 3rd, Brookfield Central (14-10), West Allis Hale/Central (16-10), Brookfield East (8-18), Wauwatosa East (8-18), Divine Savior Holy Angels (10-17) and Wauwatosa West (0-21) rounded out the Standings

Team Previews

Sussex Hamilton expects to challenge with Germantown for the top spot in the GMC this season, 6th year Head Coach Kaylee Genrich (85-23 record, 3X State Qualifier, 2X GMC Conference Champions, and 2X GMC Coach of the year) says “Hamilton Softball is gearing up for another competitive season, prepared to take on an extremely strong non-conference schedule that will challenge and sharpen the team which features 2 Defending State Champions and 2 Defending Qualifiers. With a talented roster returning, the team looks to build on last season’s success and continue its tradition of excellence, returnees Leading the way is Hailey Schaumberg, a standout player who earned First Team All-State, First Team All-District, and First Team All-Conference honors last year. Lauren Bickler, who received Honorable Mention All-District and Second Team All-Conference recognition, will also play a key role. The team returns several other all-conference honorees, including Maddie Palicka, Mya Schneider, and Maya Topolovich, along with honorable mention recipients Tori Hausman, Izzy McCann, and Ali Rowicki. With a strong core of experienced players and a challenging schedule ahead, Hamilton Softball is ready to make an impact this season”

Germantown will challenge for a top spot in the GMC This season. The Warhawks have a Veteran team with a lot of Varsity experience. 3rd Year Head Coach Jason Otto Mentioned “Offensively we can hit top to bottom with good speed and power.  Solid returning pitching with an all conference defense behind our pitchers” Kayla Preiss Sr. SS (38 Hits, 43 RBI, 23 Stolen Bases, .447 avg, 3-time All Conference, HM All State, Butler University Signee) Emmy Coulter, Sr. OF,(3-time AC, DePaul University Signee) Madison Werner, Sr. 1B, (2-time AC, Wisconsin Signee, Missed 2024 with an Injury) Kylie Otto, Sr. P (9-5 82 ⅓ IP, 2.55 ERA, 2-time AC, HM All-District, Bryant & Stratton Signee) Julia Sina, Sr. 3B (36 Hits, 28 RBI, .462 avg, 2nd Team AC, Hamline University Signee), Kennedy Bennett, So. C (1st Team AC) are some of the Germantown Top Returning players for 2025. Germantown will face off with Kenosha Bradford, Pulaski, Arrowhead, Watertown, West Bend West, New Berlin Eisenhower outside of the GMC this season.

Brookfield Central, a Sectional Qualifier a season ago, looks to stay in the middle of the GMC with strong Pitching and Hitting. 8th year Head Coach Tim Granger says they will have to overcome being young. The Lancers do return Ellie Brand, SR. P (2nd Team All-Conference Pitcher), Daina Bieck, SR. - OF (2x HM All-Conference OF), Norma Glisczinski, JR. - P/1B (HM All-Conference P), Lexi Eichhorn, JR. P/3B (HM All-Conference IF) and Maya Fall, JR. OF.

Notable Losses: Maggie Feng - SS, Gianna Caravella - 2nd base

Menomonee Falls was a Sectional Finalist a year ago falling to Cedarburg, loses a lot of firepower to graduation but also returns 6 players from that game but also loses all but 12 innings from last season in the circle. “We are hoping that experience will transpire into leadership and wins on the field. Overall we should be a well balanced hitting team with strong defense and Finding the right combination in the circle will be key to any success we have this year”. says 2nd year Head Coach Scott Eldridge. The Phoenix have strong NC games against perennial powers Kenosha Bradford (2024 D1 State Champion), Sun Prairie East (2024 D1 State Qualifier), Oak Creek, Arrowhead, and Wisconsin Lutheran

Notable Losses: Kaeley Niemiec, P,  Multiple time All State Selection, Multiple time Conference Pitcher of the Year, 238 Ks as a senior, 125 innings with a 1.4 ERA.
Returnees: Alex Selear Jr Honorable Mention All State IF/C, Elise Warnock  So All Conference IF, Kaylee Harder Jr All Conference OF, Ellie Bruns Sr 3 year Varsity IF (Winona State Volleyball Commit).
Up and coming players: Ava Grutza Sr OF, Sara Birschbach Sr OF, Natalie Jarrett So P, Brinn Kempf Sr P/IF

West Allis Hale/Central was a Sectional Qualifier in 2024 and looks to build off that appearance in 2025. The Bluejays returnees include Grace Dooley Sr SS (1st team AC, All-State Selection, committed to Edgewood), Hallie Knurowski Sr CF (All Conference), Hannah Cotey Sr OF, Audrey Werra Jr 2B/P, Mackenzie Dent Jr P (All Conference) and Stephanie Burke Jr C. Dean Mlachnik Who has coached Baseball at West Allis Central for 35 years as well as the current Girls Basketball Coach at Central stated they will look to Pitching and Team Speed as their biggest Strength this year and will also look to build up Team confidence.

Brookfield East returns a majority of its team from 2024 but will have a new leader at the top with Alyssa Boltik taking over as Head Coach for the Spartans. Anna Bracke Sr 3B (33 Hits 26 Runs Scored, 18 RBI, .438 avg) and Layla Diehl So P (8-13, 108 ⅓ IP, 4.91 ERA) are some of the notable returnees for 2025. Boltik mentioned that they are a young team.

Divine Savior Holy Angels will rely on hitting for percentage and power along with good speed and strong defense to stay competitive. Thomas Montgomery has been at the helm for 13 years as Head Coach at DSHA whose teams have won 9 Regional Championships and says there are great kids working hard but will struggle in the circle this season.

Notable Losses: Mandy Delcore, first team all conference 1B, tied school record for most homeruns in a season.  Mara Acosta, honorable mention all conference pitcher, Lauren Correa, honorable mention all conference center field.

Wauwatosa West was winless in its 2024 season. The Trojans Graduated only 2 Seniors (Sophie Monagle 1B and Mia Weithaus IF/P) in 2024 and 8 have returning players (Hailey Knuth So, Kaitlyn O’Reilly Jr, Allison Meyer SO, Grace Kleier Sr, Veronica Golombowski Sr, Katrina Koenigs Jr, Rhiannon Lalonde So)  and 2 Freshman (Marissa Brunow C/IF and Amare Perez IF/OF) on this year's Roster.

Wauwatosa East first year Head Coach Tony Hess who helped build the West Allis Wolves Club Program, Also known as “Radar” on 99.1 The Mix stated he hopes to use his 9 years experience in Club Ball building the Wauwatosa East Program, He says Strong Administrative and Parent Support are strengths but will have a very young team with 7 Freshman on Varsity.
