Mosinee (29-2 overall) finished first with a 12-0 conference record and went all the way to the Division 2 Championship game, falling to Waupun. Lakeland (15-9), Antigo (13-7) & Medford (13-11) all tied for second place followed by Tomahawk (12-14), Northland Pines (5-17) and Rhinelander (1-16)

Mosinee Will look to repeat as Great Northern Champions in 2025. Mosinee has been one of the most dominant teams in the GNC, winning a share of every conference title since the league's inception in 2009. The Indians are led in the circle by three-year starter Ava Busse, and three-year starter Taelyn Jirschele at shortstop. Other notable returnees include Emily Verhasselt Jr, Maggie Woller Sr, Addyson Henrich So, Brooklyn Simonis Sr, plus Mosinee also will also add freshman Paetyn Jirschele and Megan Treu to its lineup this season. Mosinee is expected to make another push for Goodman Diamond this spring, Mosinee opened the season in Florida and has notable games in the Ashwaubenon, Assumption and Rice Lake Tournaments.

Lakeland is led by one of the best pitchers in the state in Saylor Timmerman (80.67 IP, 8-4 177 Strikeouts, 0.61 ERA, in conference games only, Arkansas Commit). The Thunderbirds bring back a majority of its roster from 2024 which also includes Ali Timmerman Sr OF, Karlin Williams Sr OF, Lani Frisch So C, Malia Newport So, Marlee Strasburg Jr, Sarah Barton Sr IF, Rayna Hella So, Allyson Seaburg So, and Addison Trapp So.
Newcomers: Moriah Louis Jr, Ava Sauer Fr.
Medford will look to stay at the top of the Great Northern Standings this season. The Raiders return 13 letter winners from a season ago including Rylee Hraby Jr P (13-9, 120 IP 2.45 ERA) Zayleah Leonhardt Jr C (30 Hits 28 RBI .405 Avg), and Infielders Tori Konieczny Sr (22 Runs scored), Chelsea Gebauer Sr and Finley Arndt Jr. Virgil Berndt, a 2025 WFSCA Hall of Fame Inductee and winner of 429 games, and also has the distinction of being the only Head Coach in the program's 35-year history, says he hopes to have some youngerclassmen step up and build on the experience from last season and will see speed, pitching and being able to score runs as a strength but will need to find the right combination on defense. The Raiders have notable non-conference games against defending state champions Pacelli and Fall Creek and competed in the Danny Mac Classic opening weekend of the season in the Hodag Dome and immediately took a trip to Florida to face Colfax and Milwaukee Reagan.

Antigo will look to contend for the Great Northern Conference with the return of several key players who have multiple varsity seasons under their belt. Leading the way for the Red Robins and 13th year Head Coach Sandi Robrecht is Tristen Arlen Sr C (led conference in batting last year, First team all Conference), Bethany Lewis Sr P (2nd team all conference), Mya Burt Sr SS (2nd team all conference), Sydney Heinzen Sr 3B (2nd team all conference), and Emma Beck Jr OF (first team all conference). Antigo has a tough Regional Bracket with Fellow GNC foes Mosinee, Medford, Lakeland along with Bay Conference powers Shawano and New London.

Newcomers: Ava Cornelius Jr, OF, Breleigh Akright Fr IF/C, Jewel Weix Fr UT, and Bailey Heinzen Fr UT.
Tomahawk graduated nine seniors in 2024 and have only two players returning (Averi Petta So and Sophie Olson Jr) from last year's varsity team. The Hatchets will certainly have a new look on the field with many newcomers in 2025.

Rhinelander has one lone All-Conference selection returning in sophomore outfielder Chase Verbist, The Hodags do have a large roster for 2025 of mostly returning players including Dawsyn Barkus Sr IF, Julia Gray Sr IF, Kelsey Winter Sr P/OF, Lucy Lindner Sr IF, and Kayden Taylor Jr C.

Northland Pines graduated All-Conference selections Carly Huelskamp and Aubrey Beyer. The Eagles have a new Head Coach this year with Melissa Ryan taking over the program. Matanna DePuyt Sr, Natalie Kohn So, Maria Satterburg Jr, Taytum Mulluns So, and Kami Neff So are expected to return this season.
