Oakfield (26-4 overall) took the Trailways-North crown a season ago and would finish the season as the Division 5 Runner up for the second consecutive season. Cambria-Friesland (18-6) placed second followed by Markesan (13-7), Princeton/Green Lake (10-10), Pardeeville (9-11), Randolph (8-13), Lourdes Academy (4-14), Montello (2-17) and Wayland Academy (1-17).
Horicon (21-3 Overall) and Johnson Creek (23-6) shared the Trailways-South crown a season ago. Deerfield (15-10-1), Palmyra-Eagle (15-13), Williams Bay (10-10), Dodgeland/Hustisford (8-13), Parkview (5-13), Rio (3-16) and Fall River (1-16) rounded things out. Horicon would advance to the Sectional Final where they would fall to eventual Division 4 Runner-Up Cuba City.

Cambria-Friesland looks to challenge for a top spot on the Trailways-West. “The team is very hardworking and determined," says fourth year head coach Mike Heller. "They have good team cohesion. We will need to do a better job in the outfield however.” Samantha Raley Sr C 1st team AC and WFSCA All-district honorable mention, Enya Heller Jr P 1st team AC and WFSCA All-district honorable mention and verbally committed to play softball at Madison College, Janell Villarreal Jr 3B/SS 2nd team AC highlight the returnees for the Hilltoppers.

Randolph will be, "Solid on offense and defense but will be young in the pitching part of the game” says 23-year Head Coach Jeff Kohlbeck. Karly Baird Sr SS (Unanimous 1st team all conference, 35 hits 26 RBI .507 avg), Kylah Stiemsma Sr 3B/OF (2nd team all conf, 25 Hits, 11 Walks, 23 RBI .397 Avg) will look to lead the offense for the Rockets this spring.

Markesan returns a unanimous First Team All-Conference selection in Ali Kirker So IF (31 Hits 26 Runs Scored 35 RBI .544 avg) as well as Second Team pick Hannah Stellmacher Sr C/IF (26 Hits 22 RBI).The Hornets have a new Head Coach in 2025 with Heather Jahns taking over. Other returnees include Brianna Boelter Jr 3B/P, and Karlie Olson Jr 2B/C/P.

Princeton/Green Lake has a young squad but returns all but one player from a year ago for second year Head Coach Todd Zamzow. Peyton Zamzow Jr P/SS/OF (1st team all conference, 1st team all-area) Olivia Bond So C and Winnie Culver So P are some of the Tigersharks' top returnees.

Pardeeville returns its entire roster from last season. Lexi Bryan Sr 3B (1st Team All-Conference) Sophia Jerome Sr SS (2nd Team All-Conference), Abby Jacobson Jr 2B (All-Conference Honorable Mention), Chloe Lukowski Sr CF (All-Conference Honorable Mention) are some of the Bulldogs top returnees. Second year Head Coach Ron Jacobson says he has seen a lot of improvement in all aspects of the game early on this season. Pardeville will take on some Division 2 and 3 Schools outside of the conference this season.
Newcomers: Addy Neary Fr C/OF, Leyton Haseleu Fr P/OF/IF, Grace Bauers Fr P/IF
Rio/Fall River is a new co-op program for the 2025 season. With the combination, the Rebels are hoping to be more competitive and are coached by Abby Schultz. Avery Schlachter Sr 1B is the only All-Conference returnee between the two schools in the co-op. Riley Kennedy So C/IF and Olivia Bukoski Sr SS are other notable returnees this season that will be joined by a large underclassmen group.
Montello graduated its only All-Conference pick in 2024 and has a new Head Coach with Tony Magestro taking over the program. The Hilltoppers return Kyla Calnin So, Ally Stueck So, Aubrey Deford So, Rylan Harder So, Ava Kenel Sr, Olivia Kaenel Sr and Caelyn Fritz So.
