2024 Season Recap

Ashwaubenon (27-2) claimed the Fox River Classic Conference with an undefeated conference season a year ago. Green Bay Preble (24-5) placed second. Pulaski (19-6-1) finished third. De Pere (20-9), Bay Port (10-17), Notre Dame (11-16), Sheboygan North (8-16), Green Bay Southwest (6-15), Manitowoc Lincoln (4-22), and Sheboygan South (1-25) followed. Ashwaubenon would reach the Sectional Final falling to Kaukauna. De Pere and Green Bay Preble also qualified for Sectionals.

Team Previews

Ashwaubenon will look to repeat as FRCC Champions in 2025 behind the pitching of Berrit Herr Sr (2024 FRCC Co-POY, Wisconsin Commit) The Jaguars also have a new Head Coach with Raelynn Wingert taking the job this season. Other all-conference returnees this season include Gianna Guarascio Sr OF, Elly Kirst Sr IF, Jocelyn Wirth Sr IF, Peyton Crutcher Sr DP. The Jaguars are in a tough Division 1 sectional which includes De Pere, Green Bay Preble, and Kaukauna.

Green Bay Preble is led heavily on its pitching with Katie Geydoshek Sr (2024 FRCC Co POY, Loyola Chicago Commit). The Hornets also have all-conference returnees in Chloe Savage Jr OF, Tenley Kuehn Jr, Hannah VonHaden Jr, Sam Foytik Sr C, and Bella Umentum Sr. The Hornets will once again look to go deep in the postseason where it is likely they meet Ashwaubenon or Kaukauna at some point. As in the past Preble is looking to become the first Green Bay city school to qualify for the WIAA State Tournament.

De Pere looks to use its senior leadership to make a push toward the top of the FRCC this season. Reese Falish Sr P (Committed to Minnesota St-Mankato). Addison Krutz Sr OF, Julianne Bradford Sr IF. (All received 1st team All Conference honors a season ago) look to anchor the Redbirds this season. De Pere will also face some quality non-conference competition this season with games against Stevens Point, Slinger, Wausau West, West De Pere, Menasha, & Denmark

Notable Losses: Annika Dugenske C, Rachel Kubick IF, Olivia Baugnet IF to Graduation.

Newcomers: Bella Robinett C & Micah Zirbel OF

Pulaski has a hole to fill with the graduation of Morgan Vertz and Cassie Benberg. The Red Raiders also have a new coach with 2018 Pulaski alum Emily Higgins taking over as Head Coach. Higgins mentioned that they have determination, good work ethic, and hitting to bring to the game this year. Notable returning players include Molly Molthen Jr SS (First Team All Conference, Honorable Mention All - State), Kianna Altendorf Sr Catcher (First Team All Conference), Paige Abendroth Sr 2B (Honorable Mention AC, Whitewater Commit) Addison Luebke Sr P/1B (2nd Team All Conference, Marian Commit).

Notable Losses: Morgan Vertz P, Cassie Benberg OF.

Newcomers: Ella Maroszek 3B, Kamrie Dorn P/1B, Kiera Altman CF

Notre Dame is a team that has been on the rise in recent years. The Tritons have four All-Conference returnees this season in Addyson Simpson Jr P, Kaia Waldrop Jr C, Emma Jahner Jr IF/OF, and Madeline Hilts Sr C. Notre Dame will also look to Bella Nowak So P to work innings in the circle this season. Notre Dame not only plays in a tough conference but will also face a tough half sectional that has Luxemburg-Casco, Denmark Fox Valley Lutheran, Seymour, and Winneconne in it.

Bay Port will look to its All-Conference returnees Estelle Finlan Sr P, Ava Plumley Sr IF, Bobbi Seichter So and Morgan VandenBranden Jr C. The Pirates have a new head coach this season, their third in as many seasons with Sara Laughrin taking over the top spot.

Sheboygan North will rely on team defense but will have to overcome lack of pitching to stay competitive this season for Head Coach Chris Lenz. Alayna Reiter Sr 3B/C (HM All Conference) and Jadyn Jetzer Sr OF (2nd Team All Conference) are the lone all-conference returnees for the Golden Raiders. Sheboygan North is also the host of the eight-team Shoreline Showdown two day tournament in late April.

Notable Losses: Mara Babak, SS (1st Team All-Conf.); Emma Wagner, OF (2nd Team All-Conf.)

Newcomers: Libby Yetzer So IF, Paige Oehldrich So OF/P, Kayla Greger Fr UT, Ava Brashaw Fr IF

Manitowoc Lincoln doesn’t have any all-conference returnees back this season but bring back its pitching with Ava Tome Jr getting most the innings last season. Jordin Popp Jr and Taylor Peterson Jr the leading hitters returning for the Ships this season.

Green Bay Southwest graduated its lone three all-conference selections in 2024. Hannah Dunlap Jr P will look to work most of the innings this season in the circle for the Trojans.

Sheboygan South has new Co-Head Coaches this season with Mike and Michaela Heling taking over the program. The Redwings have opted to compete in Division 2 for the postseason and will navigate its final season in the FRCC this year before making the move to the newly formed Glacier Trails Conference in 2026.
