Week 6 Additions

We've fully transitioned to outdoor season, even if the weather hasn't been great yet, and we'll focus all updates for the rest of the year on the outdoor lists.

Below are the additions to the top overall performances list from the past week.

BOYS ADDITIONS

At the Altheimer Invite in Pewaukee on Saturday, Brookfield Central senior Bobby King ripped off a new state best in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 21.82 seconds. 

Aquinas hosted the Knights of Columbus Relays at Veterans Memorial Stadium in La Crosse, the host of the state track meet, on Saturday. Onalaska's Manny Putz, who won the 1600 and 3200 last year, posted a state-best time in the 800 of 1:55.93 seconds. Also at the event, Holmen sophomore Jakai Ayed flew through the 110-meter hurdles in 14.19 seconds, establishing a new top time in the state this season. In the same meet, Prairie du Chien's Blake Thiry ran 38.70 in the 300-meter hurdles. Thiry also set a new state-best in the triple jump with a leap of 46'1".

Catholic Memorial's relay teams went off at the Classic 8 Boys Relays on Wednesday. CMH's 4x100 meter relay team ran 42.63, while the 4x200 relay finished in 1:29.15 seconds. In the long jump at the event, Waukesha West sophomore Cole Zielinski pushed his advantage in the long jump by a quarter-inch, to 23'10.5". Mukwonago's Mason Kelley cleared 6'8" in the high jump as well.

GIRLS ADDITIONS

The Altheimer Invite in Pewaukee on Saturday saw some blistering 200-meter times, as the fastest three of the season all came at the event, led by Arrowhead junior Avery Bott, who timed in at 24.20 seconds.

UW-Eau Claire hosted a High School Distance Classic last Thursday, where Menomonie junior Lauren McCalla ran 4:54.15 in the 1600 meters. 

At last week's Germantown Invitational, Kettle Moraine Lutheran junior Sydney Falkowski flew through the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 45.18 seconds.

The Arrowhead girls team dominated at the Classic 8 Girls Relays last week, setting new state-bests in three of the relay events. In the 4x100, the Warhawks finished in 47.97, the 4x200 went 1:40.31, and 4x400 ran 3:59.69. Also at the Classic 8 Relays, Mukwonago's Ella Schueler soared 38'8" in the triple jump.

In the 4x800 relay, the Homestead team ran a blistering 9:18.11 at the Penn Relays.

In an FRCC Tri at Ashwaubenon last Monday, Thea Kral of the host Jaguars tossed the shot put 44'2.5".

Clear Lake junior Lydia Buhr smashed the high jump mark this year, going 5'9" in the Clear Lake High School Invite.
