Johnson Creek was a sectional qualifier a season ago, and will have some strong competition in its underclassman group to fill vacating senior spots, notably Jenna Fincutter at 3rd Base (Conference POY, 57 Hits, 12 Home Runs, 65 RBI, .564 avg). Logan Peot (53-28 in 4 seasons) says they have tons of senior leadership, pitching, speed and the biggest freshman class he has seen in his tenure as the Blue Jays Head Coach. Six all-conference selections highlight the roster for Johnson Creek this season. The team went to Pigeon Forge, TN for spring break and got three games in the first week of the season. The Blue Jays are in the same Sectional with Barneveld, Belmont and Juda/Albany, and have Trailways-West favorite Cambria-Friesland and conference foe Palmyra-Eagle in its regional group.

Deerfield returns a majority of its 2024 squad that will look to battle for the top of the Trailways South in 2025. The Demons are highlighted by all-conference returnees Addison Klein Sr P/IF (14-10 120 ⅔ IP 4.35 ERA), Cora Nelson Jr C/SS (35 Hits 8 Home Runs 36 RBI 16 Stolen bases .473 avg), Lydia Mack Sr 1B (37 Hits 26 RBI), and Rowan Lasack Jr OF. Deerfield will find themselves in a challenging postseason bracket with Waterloo, Horicon and Oakfield.

Palmyra-Eagle has a number of all-conference returnees back this season, including Briahana Covarrubias Jr C/IF (41 Hits 41 RBI 40 run scored), Brooklyn West Jr C/IF (40 RBI), Teagan Koutsky Sr P/SS, Presley Koss Sr 2B (20 Stolen bases), and Sophia Lean Jr P/IF.
