2024 Season Recap

Laona/Wabeno (16-10 overall) placed first in the Northern Lakes a season ago. Florence (11-7) and Three Lakes/Phelps (14-7) tied for second, Pembine/Goodman (7-13), Crandon (5-12) and Elcho (1-15) rounded out the Northern Lakes. Florence advanced to the Sectional Semifinals falling to Newman.

Team Previews

Laona/Wabeno will look to repeat as Northern Lakes champions this season. The Rebels return three all-conference selections this season in Allison Albrecht Sr P/IF (4-4 62 ⅔ IP 3.36 ERA, 34 Hits 28 Runs Scored 32 RBI .459 avg), Holly Gilligan Sr C/2B (36 Hits 35 runs scored .444 avg) and Amaris Gilligan So P/SS/C. Also returning for the Rebels are Summer Moravec Jr 2B, Wynter Montgomery So OF, Precious VanZile Jr UT and LoveyVanZile Jr UT, The Rebels also have some newcomers to the mix this season in Izzy Popp So, Jessony Cook Fr, Victoria Winkelman Fr, and Stella Albrecht Fr.

Three Lakes/Phelps has multiple returnees on its roster with Lily Gleason Sr SS (24 Hits 15 RBI .364 avg), Haylee Barnekow Jr IF(17 Hits, 17 Runs Scored, 22 RBI, .293 avg), Kassidy Williams Jr OF, and Ella Spears Sr OF/P are the all conference returnees for the Blue Jays and Head Coach Jerry Adamovich who will look to stay toward the top of the Northern Lakes Conference this season.

Crandon returns just one all-conference selection in Ariah Peterson Jr P/UT. The Cardinals also have a new head coach this season with Lacey McKee taking over. Crandon does have multiple returning players this season as well.

Florence, a sectional semi finalist last season, graduated three all-conference selections and return two in Allison Wood Sr and Sami DeMuri Jr.

Pembine/Goodman has its lone all-conference returnee in Jolie Seidel Jr IF/P who will look to lead things in the circle and at the plate this season. Other returnees for the Patriots include Karma Hartwick Sr OF, Laynee Dwight Sr IF and Ava Geldmeyer Sr OF.

Elcho didn't have any all-conference selections in 2024 but there is some potential in its team with Hannah Schmidt Jr SS and Jenna Simers Sr P/OF returning along with Payton Malitz So C/1B and Ellie Joerns Jr P/IF/OF.
