2024 Season Recap
Algoma (23-4 overall) won the Packerland crown in 2024. Southern Door (17-6) took second. Peshtigo (17-7) took third. Kewaunee (14-11), Sevastopol (12-9), Oconto (10-14), Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy (7-14), Gibraltar/Washington Island (1-23) and Sturgeon Bay (2-16) followed. Peshtigo advanced the furthest, falling to Mishicot in the Sectional Final. Algoma also qualified for sectionals falling to Random Lake in the sectional semifinal.

Team Previews
Algoma returns reigning conference player of the year Macie Zimmerman Jr P along with all-conference selections Nora Krause Sr C, Sierra Slaby Sr OF, Brooke Mattson Sr IF, and Jadyn Nellis Jr OF. The Wolves will be one of the teams to watch in its half sectional which includes Mishicot.
Southern Door has a new head coach this season. Sara Jeanquart takes over for Courtney Renard, as Jeanquart coached JV softball at Southern Door from 2004-2014. The Eagles return Ashlyn DelFosse Sr P/SS, Lexi Tassoul Sr C, Madyson Counard Jr 3B, Alannah Kaye Jr P/SS from last season.

Sevastopol returns seven starters with varsity experience this season. The Pioneers are led by Naomi Rikkola Sr SS (1st team all conference 2023-2024, 2nd team 2022), Kayla Ranly Sr C (2nd team 2023, 1st team 2022, all district 2022), Addison Schauske Sr P (2nd team 2024), Addison Sawyer So IF. Sevastopol and Head Coach Brooke Bittorf have some notable non-conference games this season against Mishicot, Coleman, Bonduel, Luxemburg-Casco, and Assumption

Kewaunee will have to replace the production of first team all-conference pick Jenna Rohr in the circle this season. The Storm do return all-conference selections Vivian Bootz Jr OF, Baleigh Saxby Sr 1B, Lexie Hanrahan Sr CF and Breeana Riha Jr IF. Other returnees of note include Summer Walechka Jr IF and London Karnopp So C/IF.
Peshtigo graduated five seniors in 2024 that helped them to two consecutive sectional final appearances falling to Mishicot in both. Neveah Russell Jr IF, Lainie Weddel Sr P, Gracie Bickel So IF, and Taylor Wortner Jr IF are the all-conference returnees for the Bulldogs this season. Peshtigo also has a change in the Head Coaching spot as Sean Finger takes over the program this season.
Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy brings back both its all-conference players in Lexie Meerstein Sr P/IF and Abby Kirchner Sr C/OF. Sydney Steffel Jr IF also returns and the Blazers will look to Rosa Willis Fr and Addison Bruley So for contributions this year.
Oconto returns just two all-conference selections in 2025. Ellyson Place Jr OF and Jaelin Kumhala Jr will look to lead the team this season. The Blue Devils will have a young roster with only one senior, five juniors, three sophomores and six freshmen.
Sturgeon Bay has a new head coach this season with former standout Hailey Benesh taking over the program. The Clippers return their only all-conference selection from 2024 in Annika Schoenman Sr P.
Gibraltar/Washington Island returns its lone all-conference selection in 2024 in Pamela Prescott Sr C. The Vikings will look to Mia Glocke Fr to lead things in the circle this season.
