Necedah looks to build on an entire roster return as they had no seniors a season ago. Tracy Anderson, who has been the Head Coach at Necedah for 10 years says, “Senior Hannah Hunkins returns as a four-year starter at first base, earning Second Team All-Conference last year. She was second on last year's team in batting. Senior Addisyn Schumer will anchor the pitching position for the second year after making huge strides last year. Junior Gianna Teumer will be anchoring our outfield and will also back Addisyn up in the circle. Senior Brianna Hendricks has a year under her belt at shortstop and will be a defensive force to be reckoned with. Senior catcher Ava Kiesling caught for the first time in her softball career last year and will be a dominant force with Addisyn in the circle and sophomore Lydia Rattunde played a strong 3B last year and looks to be consistent at the plate, where she has power.” Anderson also mentioned that this year's seniors have been three-sport athletes and have been competitive this year in those sports and hopes it carries over into softball. Necedah opened up the season down in Florida.
