2024 Season Recap
Grantsburg (23-1 Overall) won the Lakeland-West Crown in 2024. Shell Lake (16-7) followed in second. Unity (8-12), Clayton/Turtle Lake (8-14), Frederic/Luck (3-10), and Webster/Siren (1-11) followed. Grantsburg would advance to the Sectional Final where it would fall to eventual State Champion Fall Creek.

Team Previews
Grantsburg will look to take the Lakeland-West again this season behind the pitching duo of all-conference selections Whitney Myers Sr and Piper Olson Jr (Louisville Commit). Ruby Rengo Jr C is also a notable returnee for the Pirates. Grantsburg will make the move to Division 3 this season due to Tournament Performance Points and is still looked at as a favorite to go on a deep postseason run.
Shell Lake will look to battle with Grantsburg for the Lakeland-West title in 2025. The Lakers return Grace Naessen So P (2nd Team All Conference), Kierra Harrington So C (All Conference Honorable Mention) and Shaylee Anderson Sr 1B (1st Team All Conference). Third-year Head Coach David Zebro mentioned pitching, catching, and offense are strong for the Lakers. Shell Lake has contests scheduled with larger schools Altoona and River Falls and sees McDonnell as the team to beat in the playoffs.

Newcomers: Aaliyaha Curtis- 3rd Base, Lily Anderson Pitcher/2nd Base
Clayton/Turtle Lake brings back most of its team from last season highlighted by Katelyn Pabst Sr P/OF and Jackalyn Heller Sr 1B. The Titans also boast multiple options to use in the circle this season. Olivia Hinze Sr 2B/SS, Haleigh Strenke Sr 3B/2B, and Christine Pickard Sr C/1B/OF also come back this season.
Unity will have to replace the top four hitters of its lineup this season and have some new faces in the circle with last year's primary pitcher Madison Wilhelm out with a knee injury suffered back in volleyball season. Kyra Cox Jr, Eloise Crowe Jr, Teigan Pterson So, and Madison Nalley So all make a return this season.
Frederic/Luck has seven returning players this season, most of which are underclassmen. The Otters most notable returning players are Grace Mattson So P/3B, Sophie Eder Jr OF and Kenna Chenal So SS.
Webster/Siren has eight returning players from last season and four freshmen will make up the Webster/Siren Storm this season. Trish St. John Sr was the team's leader in the circle last season.
