2024 Season Recap
Columbus Catholic (17-7 Overall) took the Cloverbelt-East crown in 2024. Gilman (13-8) took second. Loyal/Greenwood (9-10), Neillsville/Granton (5-13), Spencer (7-16), Colby/Abbotsford (3-16) and Owen-Withee (1-16) finished out the standings. Columbus Catholic was the only team to win a playoff game in the postseason and fell in the Regional Final to Pepin/Alma.

Team Previews
Columbus Catholic is highlighted by numerous all-conference returnees this season. Those returning with that honor are Shelby Spata Jr OF, Akosua Yeboah Sr P/1B, Katelyn Casperson So C/SS, Cienna Adler Jr OF, Kylee Lingford Sr OF, and Abby Wojcik So P/OF.
Gilman looks to compete for the top spot in the Cloverbelt-East again this season. Brian Phelps, a WSFCA Hall of Fame Inductee who has led the Pirates for 32 seasons, stated they will be solid overall and sees Columbus Catholic as the team to beat in the Cloverbelt-East. Notable returnees include Kenlyn Kroeplin Sr, Kayleigh James Sr, Abby Chaplinski Sr, Allie Olynick Jr, Scarlett Stuner Jr. Gilman along with Thorp host the Annual Slamfest Tournament in May which brings in quality medium to small school teams.
Notable Losses: Jada Rosemeyer, Danielle Mann, Ava Warner
Loyal/Greenwood has three all-conference returnees this season led by Tysen Lindner Sr, Reese Clintsma Jr and Karsyn Penk Sr. The Greenhounds are mostly led by their junior class.
Neillsville/Granton has three all-conference returnees this season in Keltie Schoen Sr, Klarissa Canfield Sr and Shylah Walk Sr. The Warriors have nine freshmen on its roster this season.
Spencer will be led by a pair of all-conference returnees in Ema Schults Jr SS and Berklie Ireland Sr P. The Rockets will also look to Hailey Schreiner Sr 2B and a couple of freshman this season.
Colby/Abbotsford graduated its only all-conference selection from 2024 and will look to Neveah Trankler Sr P/SS to lead the team this season.
Owen-Withee will have to work with low roster numbers this season as they only have 10 players on its varsity roster. The Blackhawks have no seniors and are mostly made up of freshmen this season.
