2024 Season Recap

Catholic Central (16-1 overall) claimed the Midwest Classic crown in 2024. Watertown Luther Prep (6-10) and Brookfield Academy/University Lake School (11-7) tied for second. Lake Country Lutheran/St John’s NW Military Academy (5-12), Saint Francis (6-12), and Living Word Lutheran/Heritage Christian (0-15) rounded out the MWC. No Midwest Classic teams made it past the Regional Final round in 2024.

Brookfield Academy returns Riley Bodor Jr 3B, Julia Van Bogart Jr P/ SS, Leora Schmidt Sr C/OF and welcomes in newcomers Elisabeth Wilson So 1B & Makenna Best Fr P for Head Coach Chris Mason.

Notable Losses: Graduated five starters at 1B, SS, OF(2) & Catcher.

Catholic Central will have a mix of old and new players this season as The Hilltoppers are led by Avery Bauer So C/3B and Isabella Gratton So P/OF. Also returning of note are Jenna Pechous So P/IF and Molly Brauer Sr C/1B.

Watertown Luther Prep returns most of their team this season. The Phoenix are led by Addy Schmidt So P and Kiara Humann Sr C.

Lake Country Lutheran/SJNMA has a very young roster this season with all freshman and sophomores. Grace Sonnleitner So P/IF and Ava Budnik So 1B/P are the only two returning players for the Lightning this season.

Saint Francis returns a majority of its roster in 2025. The Mariners are led by Nadia Kluck Jr P and Leijla Kluck Sr SS.

Living Word Lutheran/Heritage Christian did not have any seniors on its 2024 squad and will have another young team this season. Anderson Eliza Jr P/1B and Ava Paape So IF are the most notable returnees for the Timberwolves this season.
