Belmont sophomore Carsyn Ramaker has been selected as the Box Out Sports Athlete of the Week for the week of June 9-15 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 2,295 total votes this week. Ramaker topped all vote getters with 724 votes. Waunakee's Justin Sawicki finished in second with 590 votes.

Ramaker was productive both at the plate and in the circle as she helped Belmont capture gold at the WIAA Softball State Tournament. Belmont first knocked off Ithaca 11-0 in a five-inning, Division 5 semifinal. Ramaker pitched the final frame of the game, striking out three of the four batters she faced. From the plate she went one of two, with two runs scored and was hit by a pitch. Ramaker then got the start in the Division 5 title game against Almond-Bancroft and pitched six and a third innings to get the win. She struck out six batters and allowed one run on two hits. Ramaker added two hits, three runs scored, and a walk from the plate; stealing a base as well.
