Hirthe was a key reason why the Eisenhower baseball team won its first state title in program history. In the opening semifinal matchup with Reedsburg, the uncommitted senior drove in all three runs for the Lions in their 3-1 victory. Hirthe was one for two from the plate with three RBIs, including a sac fly in the third inning, and a two-run single in the fifth. Hirthe also got the save on the mound, getting the final out of the game in the seventh. He took the mound in the Division 2 state title game against Seymour and got the win, going six innings, striking out seen batters, and allowing four runs on seven hits. Tied 4-4 in the bottom of the seventh, Hirthe drove in the game-winning, walk off run on a double to left field. He finished two of four from the plate with three more RBIs.
Rogosienski was a tough out from the plate collecting five hits over two games and helping the Muskego baseball squad to its first spring state championship and second overall, including the summer season. In the Division 1 state semifinal matchup against Hartford, the sophomore slugger went three for five from the plate with two RBIs, a run scored, and a stolen base helping the Warriors to a 9-6 victory. Rogosienski then added two more hits in four at-bats in the 5-4 win over Muskego in the Division 1 state championship. He added two more RBIs, leading his team in that category.
The Brookfield Central girls soccer team captured gold for the seventh time in program history and Rossi was a key reason why. The senior midfielder put constant pressure on the Sauk Prairie defense in the Division 2 state semifinal match, netting a goal on seven shot attempts in the 3-0 Lancer victory. Rossi then put two shots on goal in the state championship match against Pewaukee. In the 68th minute, tied 1-1, Rossi found the back of the net to put Brookfield Central up 2-1, which ended up being the deciding goal and final score as the Lancers won the WIAA Division 2 State Championship.
Santarelli helped Kenosha St. Joseph clinch the WIAA Division 3 State Championship this past Thursday in his final two prep baseball games of his junior season. The Lancers took care of Barron 14-4 in the semifinal matchup where the junior slugger went two for two with two doubles, three runs scores, two walks, a stolen base, and an RBI. Santarelli, a Louisville recruit, then went one for three with a walk, a run scored, and two stolen bases in the 3-2 championship win over Kewaunee. On top of that, Santarelli closed the game out on the mound. Up one going into the seventh, Santarelli struck out two batters and recorded the save, securing the win.
Weber was crucial to the Catholic Memorial girls soccer team winning the program's eleventh state championship, the most in girls soccer in state history. In a 4-0 shutout of West Salem in the Division 3 state semifinals, the sophomore midfielder netted a goal on five shot attempts. Weber then did an incredible job of setting her teammates up in the 4-2 victory over Edgewood in the WIAA Division 3 State Championship game. She accounted for all four goals for the Crusaders, netting one herself while assisting on the other three.
