Catholic Memorial sophomore Claire Weber has been selected as the Box Out Sports Athlete of the Week for the week of June 16-22 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 2,314 total votes this week. Weber topped all vote getters with 673 votes. Brookfield Central's Alexandra Rossi finished in second with 556 votes.

Weber was crucial to the Catholic Memorial girls soccer team winning the program's eleventh state championship, the most in girls soccer in state history. In a 4-0 shutout of West Salem in the Division 3 state semifinals, the sophomore midfielder netted a goal on five shot attempts. Weber then did an incredible job of setting her teammates up in the 4-2 victory over Edgewood in the WIAA Division 3 State Championship game. She accounted for all four goals for the Crusaders, netting one herself while assisting on the other three.
