The second annual Midwest College Exposure Camp was held this past Friday, August 1st by JustAgame at the JustAgame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.
Nearly 100 boys basketball players in the 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 classes competed at the camp that was split into two different sessions. The morning was dedicated to stations of skill work conducted by college coaches from around the midwest (full list of attending colleges below). The afternoon session was for 15 minute, eventually lowered to 10 minute, games where the athletes were split up and once again coached by those college coaches.
Below are notes of standouts from the day.

ALL-CAMP TEAM LISTED AT BOTTOM
Angiulli stood out for a couple of reasons on Friday. One, he's a skilled 6-7 big man that has a lot of versatility in his game on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. He's got solid horizontal and vertical ability, good footwork, and a differentiated tool kit to score the ball. Secondly, he's vocal and displays a high basketball IQ with how he communicated with his teammates throughout the day. With a strong group having graduated for the Lumberjacks, Angiulli is poised for a big breakout season in the Wisconsin Valley.
Awonohopay is a long and athletic wing that at 6-2, plays taller. He also has some big feet, which one may assume there's another growth spurt left in him. What stood out the most with him on Friday was the way he slashed to the rim and scored through defenders and above defenders.
Daly, like Angiulli displayed his expanded skill set throughout the day in the Dells. The 6-7 forward rebounds aggressively, and can score at all three levels. He runs in transition well where he was rewarded for that hustle. Daly scored around the rim and knocked down shots from deep in almost each game played. He comes into his senior season having surpassed the 1,000 point and 500 rebound mark already in his career.
Delarwelle brought a calmness to his team throughout the day. He played with poise, didn't get rattled, and made smart decisions while competing with Team 10. Delarwelle competed well on the defensive side and rebounded above his 6-1 frame.
Evenson plays with a quiet confidence that to the naked eye, you wouldn't think he was a 20-point scorer in the Classic Eight as a junior. His instincts and quick hands on defense allotted him ample opportunities to score in the open court, while his high release shot finds the bottom of the net at a consistent rate from both the mid-range and beyond the arc.
Fenner also isn't an overtly flashy player on the court. However, the senior point guard plays with plenty of confidence and control. Fenner is strong for his 6-0 frame and attacks the rim balanced where he can score it or facilitate to open teammates. On top of that, he's a willing defender and knocks shots down at a very high rate from the three-point line.
Grinnell, 6-9, towered over most at the Midwest College Exposure Camp. He's a defensive deterrent in the middle of the lane and played well both with his back to the basket and on the perimeter. Inside, he scored efficiently around the rim and cleaned up on the defensive glass. On the perimeter, the senior big man displayed a soft shooting touch and knocked down a handful of triples throughout the day.
Kauffman has improved year upon year to the point where he's not just the third scoring option at Lancaster, but one of three first options. Though undersized at 5-11, he knocked down a plethora of triples, many from well beyond the arc. A growing confidence is apparent when watching Kauffman play each time on the court.
Lyon is another player that does a lot of little things right on the court. He doesn't turn the ball over, knocks down open shots, defends willingly, and communicates well to his teammates. Friday he got to his spots in the half court by exuding patience and control with the ball and scored in spades at times throughout the day.
Marks is a strong 6-5 senior forward that is a returning 20-plus point per game scorer for what will be a top team in Division 3 in the state. Friday he used his strength well to score in the lane. A mixture of ball handling skill and brute strength aid Marks in getting to where he wants on the court and makes it difficult for defenders big or small to stop him.
Ragland's energy was infectious throughout the entire day in the JustAgame Fieldhouse. The 6-0 combo guard does not lack for energy and lets opposing defenses and ball handlers no he's coming. Defensively he was picking up ball handlers full court all day, and has the lateral quickness to stick in front of many who stand before him. Offensively he pushed the tempo, played well in the pick and roll, and scored in a handful of ways.
Schlaefer is a floor general on the court that sets the tempo for every offensive possession he touches the ball. He has the ball in his hands constantly, with his quick first step, gains leverage on on-ball defenders consistently. From there Schlaefer either probes and facilitates or can score in the lane with finesse or force.
There's few players I've watched at the high school level in real time where the saying "came out of the womb with a basketball in his hands" rings true. That's the case with Sherman. He's so comfortable and confident with the basketball that it at times it looks like he's just out on the blacktop, playing pickup. With that said, Sherman is shifty, confident, and has tight handles with the ball that partnered with an above average shot, make him a very talented playmaker with the ball in his hands.
Strom was the fifth leading scorer for Aquinas last season, a team that returns two of the top three ahead of him. That just seems like an embarrassment of riches for head coach Brad Reinhart. Strom stands at 6-4, has added strength throughout his frame and has a continued growing skillset. He's shown in the past his ability to knock shots down from deep at a high rate, but Friday he displayed his playmaking ability off the dribble and got to the rim almost at will.
Badwan is a score-first combo guard that showed he can do so against tougher competition that what he may see in the Lake City conference during the year. At 6-2, he's well put together and has a strong frame. He uses that frame well in gaining leverage on his attacks to the rim.
Bartelt was undersized at times throughout the day. At just 5-11 he does a good job of utilizing his quickness and know-how to excel on the hardwood. Bartelt pushed the tempo consistently, worked tirelessly on the defensive side, and did a good job of getting layup attempts above and around taller opponents.
Basich is a guard that had complete control of the offense with the ball in his hands all day on Friday. He's undersized at 5-11 but that makes no difference. Basich has above average court vision and a feel for the game that was at the top of the list for those in attendance on Friday. On top of his ability to facilitate and create for his teammates, Basich knocked down plenty of shots and got to the rim pretty consistently.
Luchetti plays with complete control on the basketball court and was one of the top standouts all day. He's already got a pair of Division II scholarship offers from Lake Superior State and Northern Michigan. Friday he showed his expansive skillset with the ball in his hands. He's smooth off the dribble, but explodes when he's around the rim, where he threw down a handful of dunks to the excitement of those watching.
Pytleski displayed an ability to make the correct decisions on a consistent basis with the ball in his hands. Whether that be attack the rim, probe and kick, or pull up off the dribble, the 6-3 guard played with plenty of poise. He shot the ball at a 33% clip last season from deep, but made more than a handful of shots from that distance on Friday, displaying his improvement in that area and the rounding out of his game.
I've seen Rivas play plenty with his school ball team where he's relied upon to score the ball at a higher premium than what he did Friday. However, that allowed him to showcase his passing and vision not just in the transition, but also in the half court setting. He's crafty enough that he can get his shot up but is also a willing facilitator to those open teammates.
Wesley was one of the top 1 or 2 quickest players with the ball in his hands on the afternoon. He's 6-2 and could use some muscle added, but the Shorewood junior is electric with the ball in his hand. His quickness is undeniable, as is his ad-lib around the rim where he scored in a multitude of fashions. On top of that, Wesley knocked down quite a few shots from deep, and had success in the mid-range as well.
Lurvey is a high IQ basketball player as just a sophomore and it shows in the way he conducts himself on the court. He makes the right play, protects the ball, and excels at using his poise and control when attacking the basket. He averaged over 16 points per game as a freshman at Three Lakes and figures to improve upon that with added experience.
Navis was one of the top players regardless of class at the Midwest College Exposure Camp on Friday. He's a 6-5 wing that continues to improve upon his skillset. Added strength helped him get to the rim at will, something he achieves with long strides. A short, compact shot found the bottom of the net as well. As Navis continues to mature on the court, his efficiency and ability to find more ways to score and facilitate will only improve.
Smith was a sniper from long range last year as a freshman and seeing him in person, it makes sense. His footwork, hand readiness, and overall shooting form are those of an athlete always ready to knock one down. Friday, he was more aggressive towards the rim where with added strength, will find more success more consistently. Smith shines off the ball where he does a great job of sliding into ball handlers POV where he then knocks shots down.
Thompson played well and competed in all facets of the game on Friday. A strong and sturdy combo guard, Thompson found ways to score in the transition, attacking the rim in the half court, and knocked down shots from deep. Defensively he competed and turned tips into offense. It seemed every time I looked at his court, Thompson was making some sort of play on the court.
Wittnebel's trajectory will only go up over the next four seasons at Beaver Dam. At 6-5, he's got great size and lank. To boot, he's got plenty of skill. He was a three-level scorer on Friday, scoring in all different facets. Multiple times Wittnebel played in the mid-post where he hit tough fadeaway shots with hands in his face. Wittnebel is already going to be a tough matchup in the Badger conference, but with added muscle, the ceiling will only get higher.
Johnson is a growing 6-3 freshman wing that flashed plenty of potential throughout the day in the Dells. He displayed an ability to score off the dribble, shoot it from deep, and had a good basketball sense on when and when not to take his opportunities. As he matures and grows older, the confidence will catch up with the skillset, making Johnson a player to watch in the Classic Eight conference over the next four seasons.
Zenke hung both skill-wise and physically with the upperclassmen all day. He's aggressive on his attacks off the bounce, where athletically, he's able to go finish around the rim. His shot from beyond the arc looked good as well. I'd expect Zenke to push for varsity minutes this season with Luther as a freshman, and if not, he'll be a player to watch in the Coulee Conference for the next four seasons.
