Edgewood College administrators will have plenty of flexibility in deciding who will replace Steve Larson as the Eagles new mens basketball coach.
In addition to the mens basketball position, Edgewood is in need of a new athletic director, a new fitness center director, a new volleyball coach, a new golf coach and a new womens basketball coach.
The new mens basketball coach will be able to link his position with one of the above openings to create a full-time position.
Larson spent 20 years as the athletic director and head mens basketball coach at Edgewood before announcing Monday he will leave the Madison school to become the new full-time commissioner of the Northern Athletics Conference.
In 20 years at Edgewood, Larsons teams went 361-215 and won 11 Lake Michigan Conference regular-season or tournament championships.
Edgewood returns several talented performers from last years club that went 14-11, including LMC All-Rookie team selection Jon Ciche of Franklin.
