There were a ton of games between Friday and Saturday night in girls basketball.  Here are some highlights and storylines.

Ripon's Taylor Wurtz (pictured) has committed to Wisconsin, and she put on a show Friday night for UW Coach Lisa Stone.  In the first game this year that Stone has watched, Wurtz went for 47 points in a 74-60 win over Eastern Valley foe Winneconne.  She knocked down 6 three's in the game and set a school record for most points in a game.

Valley Christian took home the title in the Kohler Extravaganza on Saturday with wins over Gibraltar and Willows Academy (IL).  The win over Willows Academy was capped by a roaring comeback that saw them outscore their opponents 23-9 in the fourth quarter to win by a final score of 45-42.

Slinger's Lindsay Walter (pictured below) put on a show of her own Friday.  She scored 34 in a 62-60 loss to Watertown, and is averaging just over 27 points per game on the year.  This puts her just behind Wurtz on the statewide leaderboard.

Sam Barber of D.C. Everest suffered a knee injury in volleyball then choose not to return to the team, instead focusing on basketball.  That decision has paid off for the Winona State recruit as she has led the Evergreens to a 3-1 record while averaging 17 points per game.

Abby DeBruin came off the bench to score 16 points and grab 16 rebounds in Kaukauna's 48-40 win over Fox Valley Associaiton foe Appleton East.
