Spots are filling up fast for the WisHoops.net/Basketball Yearbook PrepShowcase to be held on Sept. 13 at the Just a Game Fieldhouse in theWisconsin Dells. In it's fourth year the showcase is open to highschool varsity basketball players.

"First and foremost, this is always a great day of basketball," saidWSN founder Nicholas Kartos. "We kind of break the mold of traditionalshowcases in that instead of trying to make promises about this collegeor that college we simply run a super organized event with greatcoaches and great talent." Kartos continued, "We also work very hard tohelp provide exposure to many of these great student-athletes throughall of our media outlets and with our media partners."

Kettle Moraine head coach Brad Bestor and Reedsburg head coach BrianBestor will once again run the basketball portion of the event forWisHoops.net. The sharp-shooting brothers were both high schoolstandouts at Fond du Lac and went on to play basketball at the division1 level. Brad Bestor echoed some of Kartos' sediments, "We like to keepthings high energy and positive. In a way this event is like anorganized open gym with the best players in the state and we're here tomake sure everyone is getting the most out of the experience."

The girls portion of the event is headlined by Wisconsin Badger commitTaylor Wurtz from Ripon, UWGB commit Sarah Eichler and Liberty commit LaKendra Washington from TheHope School. Wurtz is a tremendous all-around player who averaged over20 points and 8 boards a game last season on her way to ConferencePlayer of the Year, WBCA All-State and several other honors. Eichler was a state champion two years ago and formed a tough one-two punch for Grafton with last year's Miss Basketball Rachael Hencke.  Washingtonhas averaged over 17 points per game over the last two seasons helpingThe Hope School to over 34 wins in that timespan.

In addition, many girls from the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook top 100seniors and top 75 juniors will also be in attendance. Our sign-up listas of Wednesday the 3rd is listed below.
